A Poem for Tato
Laughter and Joy came clearly,
Till the phone rang that day,
A crumbled voice became weaker,
There were demons we could not slay.
Another life came running,
Her soul to us she bore,
The news of fate we received that night,
A darkened heart we wore.
Many tears had fallen,
For the loss of that young man,
He stole away our evening,
Left us on an unlucky hand,
His soul was no longer beside us,
But now somewhere far, far away.
Two days soon passed without much thought,
And in his casket, there, he laid,
Our partings to him we had yet to pay.
And on the very next morning,
His bed of eternal sleep closed,
A prayer stumbled out in memory,
To the love upon us he bestowed.
The younger hearts hid in his room,
To share in friendship stories,
We knew that soon we'd have to leave,
And return to private mourning.
We knew it would seem forever,
Until the time we'd next meet,
Forever kept us apart;
Yet it seemed an eternity till we'd greet.
Now it seems we see him,
In every Dance-dance game,
Every Graphic novel and
Child that runs untamed.
He took a portion of our hearts,
Made them all his own,
We will not soon win them back,
Till we reach Heaven on our own.
We dropped our Tears into the Ocean
When he finds them
We'll stop missing him.
