Hey everyone. I don't think anybody has actually read this journal. Anyway, I have really been thinking about homelessness. The economy is bad right now,and I can't get a job. Homelessness is a very real possibility. The house could get burned down, repossessed,or the roof could fall in(it's very squishy up there). Or my mom could lose her job and we would lose everything. Or we may have to run from warfare( not just the current war). And although I have no reason to run away, I feel like I should be prepared. I have never run away, although I thought about it many times, but I do know what it's like to not have a place to sleep and be without money.
OK, I am gonna tell y'all a story. Once in my travels I want to Paris. First me and my immediate family went on a tour. Then we decided to get off because there was too much traffic and we weren't seeing anything. We decided to split up,me and my dad,and my sister went with my mom. We decided to meet at the Eiffel Tower. Me and my dad decided to go to the Louvre. We trudged through the rain and mud 2 miles to get to the museum, paid 3 Euros (about 5 dollars then) for a bottle of water, and saw a cute little duckling. Then we waited in line for another hour. Next we bought tickets, but then found out I was free,so we gave my ticket to a lady.We spent half an hour trying to find the Mona Lisa, stopping to look at pictures that all looked the same on the way. There were a lot of art students replicating paintings. We finally found the Mona Lisa surrounded by a hundred people, a giant glass and metal case, and a few guards. It was pretty small. Then we looked at some more pictures of angels, and people who all looked the same.We decided to leave at 3:00 pm. We called a taxi to take us to the Eiffel Tower. Then we realized that we hadn't set a time to meet my sister and mother. We bought a loaf of bread each, fed most of it to pigeons, and sat around trying to find my mother and sister. At 6:00 we decided to go back to the hotel. We went to the airport and called another taxi. We told the driver to take us to the Prime hotel. But there was no Prime hotel. So we spent 300 US dollars on the taxi, riding all over Paris. We went back to the airport. We kept running around in the airport, carrying much baggage. Then right when we thought we would have to sleep in the airport, we realized we were at the Holiday Inn. We took the Metro. We spent half an hour trying to find the entrance. Then I bought a mini Eiffel Tower souvenir.Next we hopped on the Metro. Let me tell you, French people can be very nice, but if they are trying to do something, get out of they way.We sat on the train for another hour because we couldn't remember what stop we wanted. Then we found out we went the wrong way. THEN we got on again and MISSED our stop, so we had to turn around again. Finally at 12:00 sharp we got to the hotel room. There was a note on the bed: We went out to find you. Be back at 12:00. Yeah, so we found out my sister and mother were having a good time at the top of the Eiffel Tower eating gourmet shredded carrots the whole day. We decided not to go back to Paris. This vacation was: AWESOME!!!!
The point of the story? Purely for entertainment purposes.
