It was almost sunset on the bridge. Tensie sat shoes off, and her feet were touching the water. itachi sat silent, just staring at her, listening to her hum. her long black hair blew in the wind. her eyes closed she was humming her favorite song. her hands were still in itachi's. she looked at him, and he looked at her. she spoke suddenly breaking the stillness of the night. "itachi? do you ever feel different?" she felt stupid for letting the words leave her mouth. it was a bad question, of course he did, everyone does. "different how" itachi said a little concerned. Now he probably thinks im a freak she thought after blurting this out. "just different." "what do you mean?" itachi asked. she didn't answer. he knew what she meant by the way she looked at him. "is this what you mean" itachi asked while reaching into the pond below. "did you notice any thing weird about the water?" itachi asked. "no" tensie replied. "now this is going to be hard to hear." itachi started. "but i need you to bare with me." tensie grew quiet. "up stream there's an ice cave that sits under the stream as it comes down the mountain." itachi said. "now the water warms up a little between there and here but the pond stays about an average temperature of three below all year long." tensie was confused at what he had said. itachi continued. "most people can survive in a pool like this for about three to five minutes." tensie spoke up "so, we were only in for..." "about three hours." said itachi cutting her off. "and we're still fine." "why didnt we die then?" asked tensie now a little frustrated. "we are alive because we believe we are alive." itachi said plainly. "tensie, some people can do things with their minds that are unimaginable." "i dont believe you..." tensie let go of itachi's hand. itachi attempted to grab it again. "no your crazy!" screamed tensie and began to run back into the forest. itachi screamed after her, but she continued to run. hes just like the other kids, the ones from school! thought tensie as she thought about the times when guys convinced her to do things or believe things just to film and put on the school's website for all the kids to laugh at. now this boy was trying to make her seam crazy! she took a few more steps until tripping on a rock. she looked at where she was, she didnt recognize anything. she was lost. im not trying to make fun of you tensie thought, or did she? horrified tensie screamed. wait i just want to try to explain she thought without thinking. "there you are" itachi said. "im so sorry i scared you." "how" tensie asked. "how did you do that" "i was telling you the truth." itachi helped her up. "i want to show you some thing." he said dragging her off into the jungle. a few minutes later a school came into view. "what is this school" asked tensie. "its called the Super something for abilities or whatever but i really dont care." itachi said. "the shorter version is the only one that i remember. SSAJP and this is my school, this is where i learned how to do that."
