The Black Rain
As I looked out the window, I saw the sun disappear behind the mountains, darkness trailing behind like a sheet of black, I walked down the alley and into the subway, passing the entrance. Wanting a cigarette, I slowly pulled out my case. I felt a cold hand on my shoulder.
“You know you're not aloud to smoke in here.” The voice belonging to an elderly man said, pointing to a no smoking poster on the bench next to me. Sighing, I put the case of cigarettes back in my pocket. The Train slowed to a stop, it was my turn to get off. The exit signs light was out, dimming the hall with an eerie look. It was already darkening in the damp night sky. A flash of white blinded me as a car drove by. As it started to rain, I felt the urge to run, run and feel the similar sorrow that fell from the sky and onto my face. Running as the rain grew heavy, I blindly ran into a paint cart, black ink spilling, as it engulfed me in it's noxious fumes. As I lay there Motionless, watching the ink mixing with the rain that slowly rolled down my face, I didn't want to move, I wanted to bleed out all my blood and watch it disappear along with my soul and honor that had been already taken from me...
