Dear Anita,
I’m not sure how to write this… we have had so much fun together in the short time that we have been friends. Sometimes I wish that we would have known one another even longer. Our time together just went by so fast! Even though we do have our little spats, our friendship is one of those that cannot be tainted. Through the tears, through the pain, and the laughter that usually followed, you were always there with me. You asked me to tell you what would be the one thing I would miss if you were to die, I would miss you! I would miss everything that you are: your bright smile, your funny way of laughing, your goofy moments, your shy nature, and your kind heart. This list could go on and on! But honestly, you have showed me that people can and are really kind at heart. I also have to thank you for everything that you have done. You have been there during my strongest and my weakest moments without ever asking anything in return. You are so amazing. You are so much more than a friend to me, Anita, you are practically my family. You cry when I cry, and you bleed when I bleed. I’m sorry if I ever said or did anything to upset you. I know that you don’t want to say that we will be friends forever, so I won’t say it. However, I will say that “you take a special place in my heart, and I will never forget you”. Thank you for teaching me so much Anita. I want you to know that I love you so much!! I’m excited about going to Gainesville, but I’m sad about leaving you behind. I wish I could take you with me. Leaving you is like leaving a part of my heart. You have truly impacted my life. Thanks for being there for me Anita, thanks for being such a good person, such a good friend, and know that where ever we are, that I will always have you in my heart. Please, don’t forget me! I would die if you did.
Forever and ever,
Benjamin E. Hernandez
