Cross Counrty Meet:
The crunching of the leaves
Beneath the quickly running feet
Step by step
Closer and closer
The spectators cheer
As those feet bounce by
In the blink of an eye
Closer and closer
Steady breathing
Near the end
With each bigger stride
Closer and closer
With the race won
Those feet finally rested
After a job well done
