The little girl
So there I was walking down a mellow road
and nothing was going on.
Untill I found a sweet little girl
and we began to bond
This girl told me she felt betrayed
by every girl she'll meet
I smiled thinking of the friendship we made
and helped her off her feet
A small little voice whispered in my ear
leave her behind or keep her near
I could continue walking foward
with the future blind
But how could I forgive myself
for leaving a girl behind
So I smiled down at her
and rapped my arm around her shoulder.
"It's okay sis, I'm here."
That is what I told her.
So her and I walked side by side
down the mellow road
Untill we stopped at a wooden house
that I called my humble abode.
So I walked up on the porch
and opened up the door.
We saw two lovers on the couch,
an angel sitting on the floor.
The lovers got up
and the angel walked foward.
They all smiled
they had the newbie cornered.
So I look of into the distance of my life
wondering how many more hearts I'll win.
We were born with gaps between our fingers
so that others could fill them in
So there I was walking down a mellow road
and nothing was going on.
