Alright so those of you who have read my previous posts (that's no one, no one reads this thing period)
you know that I've been making a game and that I freaked when my computer crashed and I thought I had lost everything... well as it turns out everything was ok and I only got a few bugs because of a virus that happened to slip through my security some how. Well it seems that I just can't win for losing. I just lost my information again and this time it can't be fixed just by removing a virus, why?
Because this time it is a hardware issue. Meaning a wire fried, my hard drive craped out or some other issue, considering this is a laptop we are talking about I can't just go in and replace one thing and be done with it, instead I'm probably going to have to get a whole new laptop, hope that I can get the info off of my hard drive, and if not probably start all over again. Meaning, I just lost a $60 program that I was making my game on plus a $1000 graphics design program, lovely huh?
not to mention I'm probably going to have to re-make Shiba (the VI I was working on, VI stands for Virtual Intelligence, Like an AI except it can't learn on it's own meaning it can't go HAL on me)
sweatdrop Either way it doesn't really matter because to be perfectly honest I was looking at moving Shiba to a new Machine here soon anyway (preferably one designed with gaming in mind instead of the crappy one I got for schooling)
Anyway I've now got a guild on gaia and if you are a gamer feel free to join because we could use more members.
