One morning the Lilly bloomed,
All pretty and cute,
But the air was full of doom,
And she was gonna get the boot,

One fateful day,
All the children cried,
All that they could say,
Was that the poor Lilly died,

There was a man who went by it,
His name was John Red Billy,
He stepped right on it,
And that was the death of Lilly.
