And it starts, Sometime aroung midnight..
or at least thats when you lose yourself, for a minute or two.
As you stand, under the barlights...
while the band plays some song about forgetting yourself, for a while.

And the Pianos this melancholy soundtrack, to her smile..
And that white dress she's wearin', you havent seen her, for a while.

But, you know, that she's watching...
She's turning, She's laughing, She's holding her tonic like a cross.
The rooms suddenly spinning, she walks up and asks how you are..
So, you can smell her perfume, you can see her lying naked in your arms

And so there's a change, in your emotions..
And all these memories come rushing, like feral waves to your mind..
Of the curl of your bodies, like two prefect circles entwined..
And you feel hopeless and homeless and lost in the haze of the wine..

Then she leaves, with someone you dont know,
But she makes sure you saw her, she looks right at you and bolts...
As she walks out the door, your blood boiling, your stomach in ropes.
Oh and your friends say, what is it you look like you've seen a Ghost!

Then you walk, under the streetlights, and your too drunk to notice,
that everyone's staring at you.
You just dont care what you look like, the world is falling around you.

You just have to see her (x6)
You know, she'll break you in two.

Have you ever loved someone, then just days, moments in your heart, you see them with someone else. Have you ever had your stomach in your throat as you see two hands holding tight, and wished the one was with you? You feel hurt, and like your love meant nothing. You feel as though the world, love, God, and that one person have all betrayed you. Have you ever tried to drown your problems in a bottle? Tried to ease the pain, just for a while? Tried to erase the feeling of their skin against yours, their lips, so soft. Tried to forget what it felt like to lay next to them...to hold their hand tightly, their fingers entwined with yours. The way their laugh, brought joy and hope into your life. The way their eyes always met yours...the feeling of overwhelming passion that came in that single glance. For all you lovers, who are in pain and hurting watching the one you gave your heart to, give theirs to another. We hear you.
