ARGH! Pops night is like Tuesday, and we just got our song for guitar, yesterday. Down on the Corner by CCR. Woot, woot...right? Sorta. Except I was tuning my guitar tonight, getting ready to start and I was on the E string, and somehow the ********' string snapped- get this- while I was winding it down.
Of course it wouldn't have been that bad, except for two things. 1. I was really hoping to use it for Pop's Night, and have it plugged in this time. Instead I'll be stuck with the school guitar...ew. 2. I could probably have gotten away with that string being broke if it was all single notes, but oooh no, we have to throw chords in there to make your life a miserable hell. Not that the majority of chords are hard.
EXCEPT I seem to be having a shitty artistic month. I can't make my effin' C chord sound right, and then the G chord (which is possibly the easiest one) sounds like the top E string is open, when it's not.
Then I'm trying to improvise on Dad's ol' Silvertone and everything I play sounds like s**t. Honestly. I can't even do the frickin' intro to Come As You Are, which by the way is easy. Even that doesn't sound good.
Oh, but it's not just my 'musical' skills. Oh nooo. I had this real killer idea for this story from riding the bus, but when I started writing it went kaBOOM. and died. There's also my 20+ page story, that by the way folks is getting shitter every sentence, which isn't presenting any plot to me. Which is making it friggin' stressful as old hell.
Merry Hump Day Everyone.
