Life is a ridiculous set of ironic events, wrapped up into misfortune, and slapped with an unpleasant touch of pain. When dealing with matters of the heart, one quickly and easily looses his/her self in the raw emotions that he/she believe exists between him/her self and his/her significant other. In a relationship so many things can happen, so many emotions can be felt, and ultimately these emotions end up destroying the individual. People often say that love is the strongest and most amazing feeling in existence;however, this pure and amazing feeling has the potential and potency to send even the bravest of men into a frenzy. Love has many other ranges as well. Some consider love just a strong physical attraction to someone or a strong caring for a person. However, love is more diverse than those two notions. Love is an abstract feeling that encompasses a variety of other emotions and doesn't necessarily have to fit into the category of "lustful" or "lovingly"
Because I know from first hand experience what the power of love is capable of doing, I now find myself criticizing it. I often scoff at the simple-mindedness that exists in being "in love", for there is no truer farce. Love is an emotion that emerges and disappears, it's an addiction that consumes someone and slowly leaves the mind and often times the heart finds a new place to be. This has been the results in many situations. This inevitable outcome is enough to question the origin and nature of love. I strongly believe that love is but an illusion that one creates in a moment of elation, and after that moment is over, there is a complete release of that feeling and dissipates, almost as if it were non-existent.
So for all of you that are "in love", I hope it lasts a long time;however, don't be surprised when you find out that your special someone has been seeing someone else, or has found someone else, or has left you for stranded and is enjoying an evening with your best friend. Love is an illusion, be careful and do not let it blind you to the reality of the world. In reality, there is not time nor is there room for love. Being fooled is a waste of time, and often that waste of time results as a benefit to the one receiving the love---the lovee, respectably. People only care about themselves, only care about their own needs and wants, about their own future and their own overall happiness. If this is the case, then there cannot be such a sentiment as love. If our nature is to only purse our own happiness, then our egotistical selves will do anything in our power to reach that happiness, regardless of whom we love or whom we don't. So please, heed my warning, be careful with love. If one must dabble in it, dabble in it carefully, for it as deadly as poison.
