the screen changes

my words melt into emotion
and evaporate in front of me
misty vapor of my heart
fumes from an engine
smoke from a match
the devouring nature
hidden demons of my soul
consuming me
recreating me
something i do not want
something i cannot control.
the flame drinks solid wood
leaving brittle ash
my voice becomes an electronic signal
reverberating into meaningless chatter
purification
distill the senses
connect to the purity
to become pure
let go of the imperfect
to connect
with God
