New Cancer Treatment
Do you suffer from cancer or know someone who does? Did you know that there is a new treatment but it’s not leaglized yet? The treatment is called Marijuana. Sounds crazy right? You won’t believe how helpful it really is.
Marijuana has been illeagl for over thirty years. That means most people don’t know the helpful secrets. Marijuana has a variety of benefits for certain diseases, which means that it could help many citizens dealing with these diseases. The most major disease that many citizens of America are suffering from would be cancer. Wether it be breast cancer or lung cancer, most cancer leads to the same thing. Most people undergo chemotharapy to help maintain their cancer, but the chemo causes nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and loss of hair. Some people try to find alternates from chemo. There are other medications that help cancel out the effects of chemo, and marijuana would be one of them.
Marijuana should be leaglized and become a prescription drug. Doctors know what the best medication is for their patients, not the government. Marijuana is as harmful as alcohol or tobacco, when used in moderation of course. If it’s leagalized, the price would be lower meaning less related crimes. Marijuana has medical benefits, including treatment for cancer patients. If leaglized, police and court resources would freed up for more serious crimes. Some drug dealers and terrorists would lose their business. All of this is one of the many problems that America is suffering from. What people don’t know is that the solution is simple.
Now most people would disagree with this completely. Some say marijuana is often used as a stepping-stone drug, which leads to harder drugs. They also say that stoned driving and other dangers would be increased. Some concider the use of marijuana morally wrong. Also the leagalization of this drug would raise the chances of it falling into the hands of kids. All of these are really good reasons as to why the drug should not be leagalized.
What people might not understand is that only doctors could prescribe it to those who they believe need this drug. The only way that a patients could be prescribed this drug is if they aren’t getting any relief from other medication. There are many reasons why this drug shouldn’t be leaglized but there are also reasons as to why it should be leaglized. Marijuana would benifet those that are suffering from cancer and also reduce crimes related to this drug. Just think, wouldn’t you want to be relieved from the awful effects of chemotharapy? Or even a loved one that is suffering from this horrible disease?
