T-paine, Lil wayne, Flow rida...1. odd names, 2 not into them Most rap these days are mostly the following. 1. How rich they are 2. bling 3. their tricked out cars. 4. Hoes, now. sadly these rappers and others are considered artists. But i remember old school rap yes money and women were in rap songs but not used constantly. Even Eminem has great songs.
Artists like 50cent, the game, i remember how popular they was my mom sings to them still. But they came from old school rappers, what what rappers are considered old school these days? Eminem? nah, Vanilla ice? HAH no. The old snoop dogg and Dr. Dre and when Jay z first appeared. with Gin and juice playing on the streets now were talking.
How about we go older 2-pac and Biggy Smalls thats old school and they had some great songs.Go older, we have one of the best and finest that defined rap and hip-hop in the 80's Run DMC now thats old school.
But we can go older to that to the 70s yes the 70s where hip-hop was where it started. This is the oldest of Old school...that i know of lol. 3 words describe best of where hip-hop and rap came from and thats "Surger Hill Gang" oh yes even today you can get down to that song. and that is Old school.
No "hitting up that hoe in da club" no "i got money in the bank" and personally i like rap with a great beat that isnt a simple beat song about how tough the ghetto is, losing people, caring for your families, or grooving to the music thats good rap for me. 2-pac- some 50 cent most eminem some jayz, outkast, andre300, black eyed peas, some kayne west, common too. just my opinion.
