In that city there is a school, and within that school there is a girl by the name of Ezana. She was named after the King that ruled in Aksum. She loved that name because no one in the school or island had her name. In fact, she might be the only one in the world with that name. She loved books. Whenever her mother took her to the bookstore she would wander around and find books that would suit her. Books with fantasy in them, manga books, and sometimes cook books. She always got what kind of book she wanted and read it at school or at home if it was too large. One day she got a book called A world of darkness, she took it to school to sign it up for her book report. When she began reading it, she learned that the kingdom of Ezlailia was in trouble and the queen was dead. She had also learned so sadly that it was the second book in the series. That night she went to the bookstore and bought the rest of the series that were out at the time. She brought the first book to school with her and signed it up. During lunch break, she sat by her favorite tree and opened the book. In the first one, the kingdom is thriving and no one is dead. She opened the book and started reading. In the story the kingdom is the most powerful one in the whole area of where it stands. None of the surrounding kingdoms couldn't even reach it without being struck down. While Ezana was reading some kids in the school come up to her. "Look, the Book Worm! Reading a new book she is!" said one kid. Ezana snapped out of her reading and looked up at them. She was normally quiet but to get out of this she'd have to talk. "Go away. Leave me alone." she said. "No, we just wanna have some fun." said one kid. One of the five kids took her book and threw it to the ground. Ezana hastliy picked it up and brushed the dirt off. While she was doing that, she could have seen some magic dust sparkleing as it floated down to the ground. Ezana put her book back into her brown bag, which blended in with the tree so perfectly, and put her book in it and ran down the hill to the teachers that were talking nearby. "Those five kids took my book and threw it in the dirt. Which, interruped my reading." complained Ezana. Since the teachers here think that books are the source of all that we know, they couldn't stand how the kids took her book and threw it in the dirt. The teachers took the five kids and gave them each a detention. Ezana knew she did the right thing. After school, she went right into her backyard and into her tree-house to read by herself. She took her book and started reading where she left off. Right where the king is ordering the knights to go protect the queen and the princess from the dragon that is closing in on the castle. The dragon intends to burn it to the ground then find the princess and take her to his cave and make her help him turn back into a handsome prince. Why didn't the king want this for his princess? The dragon was from another kingdom. The princess would have to move away to another kingdom and that kingdom might have a chance to take over his kingdom. The knights obeyed his every command and hid the princess and the queen then they protected them. Why was the queen with the princess? The king didn't want her hurt or taken away also so, he hid her with the princess. Ezana stopped reading when it got dark and went inside to go to bed. She wasn't hungry so she didn't eat, she went straight to bed. She didn't want to read because she was too tired. While she slept she dreamed that she was the princess in the kingdom of Ezlailia, being hidden and protected from a fire-breathing dragon. In her dream it felt like it was acually real. 3nodding tell me what you think by commenting my profile or leaving a comment in my journal.
