Stella is a blonde girl who has been shown opposite Noctis, and is described as an unfortunate enemy to him. Famitsu and other sources claim that the two do not desire to fight each other, but they are forced to.She wields a rapier and is a confirmed enemy, though her allegiances are still under suspicion.Stella Nox are two Latin words that would mean literally, albeit incorrectly inflected, "Night Star." Fleuret is the French name of the fencing foil, a direct reference to Stella's weapon of choice. A recent trailer confirmed that Stella, like Noctis, is able to materialize weapons from thin air, as she is shown summoning her rapier from a rune similar to one used by Noctis to summon his sword, though Stella's rune is golden while Noctis' is blue. What role this will play in the game is unknown.
As shown in the latest trailer, Stella is a very social person, which complements Noctis' shy personality. Unlike Noctis, she is direct and somewhat frank, even to people whom she barely knows, and she is willing to talk about anything. For example, during her first meeting with Noctis, she doesn't hesitate to tackle classified information regarding his power and abilities; however, she respects Noctis' decision to keep the information to himself. She refers to something that she calls 'the light', which only she and Noctis can see. She then invites Noctis to Tenebrea, the country she comes from.
