There once was a muffin who lived
Inside the old bread box
He was as happy as could be
With the biscuits, the bagels, and lox
They played among the twisty-ties
and hid inside the bags
They told each other jokes about
The fruit bowl and they laughed
And then came tales of horrid things
That frighten in the night
Tales about the butter-knife
That gave them quite a fright
“It don’t scare me!” said Muffin Bill
As he took a manly stance
His muffin eyes grew raisin red
He didn’t stand a chance
Poor old Bill went missin’
And they began to weep
A little butter and jelly
And Bill was good to eat
