Teresa decided that I wasn't the kind of guy she needed in her life, so we ended our romantic involvement tonight. It's a touch upsetting, as I wasn't expecting it to happen, but at least she let me know about how she felt before we got more attached or fell in love. I'm a reactive person, so it's not too big a deal I guess. It only took five or so minutes after she told me for me to start to delete any sort of romantic feeling for her. It's for the best that it happened now, rather than later. The break-up was quite civil and easy for both sides, "a mutual agreement" were her words.

It's relieving that there were no negative feelings or resentment at parting. It'll take a couple of days at most for me finish the deletion of my feelings of attachment (actually... maybe a week, since I did actually like her a bit and she wasn't a bad person). But after that, it's back to normal.

I know someone will be happy when she reads this, but it doesn't change our situation except we'll probably be doing what we were doing before, like last year. Congratulations, you stuck it out longer and wanted me more... but my January 11, 2009 entry about us still stands.
