Never...I thought he would never do that again. I had told him never to do that again. In my minds the words fall together..."You will never do that to me again." Yes, spoken so clearly - I did articulate quite nicely. Yet he seized me about the neck until my breathing had ceased. He leaned in and whispered menacingly into my face threats that would make the souls in Hades shiver with dread. Even the dead fear his wrath. And oh! the anger of my love as I spoke between sobs. I do not know if the life of my assailant will still be intact come the morn. I love my dearest, but he will not stand my attacker. He has never known such anger. I have never felt such confusion. The one thing I know for sure is the love that I will still have for my darling when this is all over and done with. He is the only solid thing in this constantly spinning world.
