I heard Claive call out to me, "Fire first volley!" and I shot my first ten holy water arrows, which all hit their marks. "Ten feathers." I said to myself. Then, I was amazed to see Claive shoot lightning at the demon. I had no idea he could do that! I rubbed my eyes long and hard to make sure I was seeing correctly. Then, I saw a black rip in the air that had demons coming out of it. I galloped up to a small hill with a better line of sight, and I switched over to my second quiver, full of big game arrows. "Look out!" I heard behind me, and I drew and strung two arrows, then turned around to see Doriyan cut down a demon behind me. He didn't know about the two that were behind him, though, so I aimed and shot the arrows together, the drifted apart before they hit him, and flew past his face and feathered the enemies. He looked backward, turned to me and yelled "What was that!?"
"I call it 'Splitting the Tree.' Impressive, no?"
A horde of enemies was coming from the ground and the air, so I took care of the air as he handled the ground. It was exciting hitting all of the moving targets as they tried to dodge. I couldn't help myself; I started counting my kills out loud.
When all was said and done, my hands were trembling from excitement. Doriyan stuck his sword in the ground and was breathing hard. "So..." I asked him, "Your count?" He leaned back a bit and said, "27 fatalities. You?"
"24 feathers. Phew, that was scary, but it was also exhilarating. Is it wrong to feel that way?" I asked him. He replied sweetly, "Nah, it's the adrenaline. Way to go girl." We high-fived, and he walked back to where Claive and that demon were fighting. I stayed put, because it was a great place to set up shots.
