The Angel

This darkness is pierced only by moonlight.
I have lost all my strength here, in the Castle of Midnight.
I am trapped here by demons, who forever hold me bound.
No one cares to look for me, I have no hope of being found.
These demons will soon devour my soul.
My body will be a puppet, and inside this cold and lifeless shell, hatred and malice, will soon begin to quell.
My heart is being torn away from my chest.
Being swallowed, dragged inside, this nightmarish nest.
I can't penetrate this night, but outside the window, shines a brilliant light.
It flares through the window, destroying my captures.
Maybe there was a chance, for a happily ever after.
In moments, I am swept off my feet. Soaring through the sky, the air up here is sweet.
I am riding on an angel, my savior has arrived. And he had rescued me from my prison.
It was a miracle that I survived.
