CHAPTER 1 part 3
Seth kept walking wondering why that girl was so interested in him,either way it diddn't matter to him. Soon he got to the next town,its was small but filled with people,not really his kind of town but it will do. Seth walked around hoping there would be a magic store so he could get some potions in case of injury or if he ran out of mana. As he was walking he noticed Lia looking into a flower shop. Lia noticed him and said. "oh hi its you again!!!" Seth just looked at her impatiently. "i was just looking at these flowers,i can't afford them but they look pretty,don't you think?" Seth just stood there waiting for her to finish. "i can't even afford to rent a hotel room...im not sure what im gonna do" Seth walked over to the nearest hotel and turned around to look at Lia as if signaling her to follow. Lia ran after him and said. "oh,um...yur gonna pay for me? Thats nice of you". Seth just walked in with Lia right behind him. He walked into his room which only had a bed and a chair and a desk with a lamp and some books on it. Lia's room had all the same things but it was a little more girly...Seth sat down in the chair while Lia sat on the bed playing with her hair. Seth looked at Lia and thought about what she would do after this,she had no money left and no weapons,so she can't possibly be left on her own. "well it seems that you won't survive long without proper tools so i think its best you stay with me for now" Seth said reluctantly. Those were the first words he had said this whole time and Lia looked rather shocked and insulted by what he said. "I can survive on my own!" Seth stared at her and said. "pfft,yeah right,a scrawny thing like you? wouldn't last a night. You're lucky im even considering having you along with me". Lia thought about what he said the rest of the night,but she could do something...she was trained to use light magic,things like healing and protective spells.
The next morning they left town. Lia walked far ahead of Seth,who just watched her expecting for her to do something stupid. Lia swayed back and forth in a sort of dancing motion not paying any attention to where she was going. Seth ran up ahead and stopped Lia. Seth looked around in the trees and spotted two thieves aiming crossbows at them. The two thieves fired at them and Seth pulled out a sword which was mounted on his back and got ready to swing at the branches they were standing on. Lia waved her hand over her and Seth and suddenly a shield surrounded them deflecting the arrows. Seth looked at her kind of amazed...Lia looked at him in a "told you so" kinda way. Seth jumped up and swung at the branches the thieves were standing on,they both fell to the ground and stared at Seth. The thieves looked at him with fear and Seth stomped his foot near them and in 5 seconds the thieves were gone."Well that took care of'em". Seth said. Lia waved her hand again and the shield dissapered. Seth stared at her and said. "Since when could you do that?". Lia looked back at him then turned her head away and started to walk again.
