Kasai Tenma, the fire demon samurai, was a legendary warrior who lived in Mt. Fuji. In his mortal life, he was a renowned samurai of the Osaki who held the claim of having defeated one of the Royal Guard of the Shogun in a duel. After escaping decapitation for this crime, he ran to the only place he knew no one would look, on the peak of Mt. Fuji. It was there that a powerful dragon came from out of the lava and promised to give the samurai eternal life and great fire powers, as long as he promsed to be the dragon's personal samurai. The samurai accepted, and suddenly turned into Kasai Tenma. Soon he became legendary as the "Great Fire Demon of Fuji." Slaughtering nearby villages, and even assassinating high ranked samurai in his clan. Finally, after 100 years of tormenting Japan, one brave samurai took a blessed katana and banished Kasai Tenma into Mt. Fuji forever. To this day it is said that visitors to Mt. Fuji and Scientists are killed by his wicked flames and deadly blades.
