RULES FOR SUBMISSIONS
* THREAD TITLE
To create a new bestiary reference, you must create a new thread in this forum titled with the name of your creation. For example, if you wanted to create a Night Troll entry, just title your thread "Night Troll." If you want to be more specific, then you can elaborate on your thread title such as "Night Troll Battle Boss." or "Iron Hammer Clan Dwarven Captain." Don't stress too much about getting it perfec, the crew will change it if needed.
* THREAD CONTENT
PROVIDE IMAGE:
If you can, supply either a graphic picture or a tek tek Dream Avatar (at www.tektek.org). It is not mandatory, but definitely helpful to have some kind of picture.
PROVIDE DESCRIPTION:
If it is a new creature you should have a description of it's appearance; we need to know what it looks like. List typical items of equipment or tools it carries, weaponry (such as sharp teeth), anything that someone encountering the monster would be able to see.
PROVIDE COMBAT ABILITY:
If this creature gets in a fight, what are it's attack options? Does it use claws? Does it use bladed weapons? Does it have magical abilities? Does it have any kind of resistance to attacks? How tough is it and how much damage can it take? Is it hardier than an ox, or would a feather duster knock it unconcious?
PROVIDE ECOLOGY/SOCIAL ORGANIZATION:
Does this creature run in packs or fly solo? What does it eat? Does it salute higher ranks? Does it have a wife and kids with expensive shopping habits? Does it secrete acid good on it's prety to help digest it before eating? Does it like to play pokemon on Nintendo DS systems? You get the picture; talk about this new critters daily life.
* CREW REVIEW
Not all submissions will be accepted by the crew, but it doesn't hurt to try. We will reply to your thread asking you questions about your new monster if we find anything unclear. Regular members of the guild may also ask you questions as replies to your thread. Anyone may make recommendations to you about what they think would improve your new critter, and also to tell you if they think anything is wrong with it. Be aware that some criticism will be negative, but take as constructively as you can, as it will helpe your creature be accepted in our world if you work with everyone involved. After some discussion, crew will have final say on it. We may reject your submission, but we will at least consider it first and explain reasons why.
* CREATURE STATS
After review and discussion is done and the submission is accepted, crew will stat your beastie out using whatever system(s) we have in place. We may use D&D stats, as well as other systems to give everyone a reference for what it can and can't do compared to other critters similary statted out.
* POINTS VALUE
After the beast has been statted out by crew, a points value will be assigned to it. This is how many points it can be purchased for by starting players who wish to obtain minions without roleplaying it out over time. Some critters will be assigned higher points if they are rare (to simulate that it is difficult to obtain them). Also, not all creatures listed here will be purchaseable at any given time. Availability entirely depends on crew discretion, as does point value (which might actually fluctuate in rare cases). For example, if the crew think their are too many female drow wizards running around UnderGaia, we may raise their points to encourage other types of monsters to be used.
