So here I am again, typing mindlessly into this online journal. Whatever happened to diaries, anyway? Oh well, whats gone is gone, and it can't be undone. Like in life, when you love someone or something, and you screw up or break that something. It's done, it can't be fixed. Your special someone is fading away from you into that unknown area in the back of your head. The only thing is, you can't let go. You want to, you know you should, but you can't. You feel like that person is all that's left of yourself. Well, that's the way the mind works. It itself tells you that you can't let that person go. Your mind tells you there's a slight chance that person may come back to you, that they'll forgive you and love you once more. But is your mind really helping, or is it making you more miserable than you already were. When that person left. No, it's not helping, and it never will. Your mind is trained (by you I might add) to think of only the worst and the best. Not how to get better. Because your mind has been trained, to hold on to all those precious memories. However, it's not trained to let go, it doesn't know that when you hurt, it's because you can't forget. So you cannot rely on your brain to save you this time. You must forget it yourself. And if that person does come back to you, they'll forgive you for trying to forget. And if you succeeded, well thats always good, but that person coming back will make those memories come back. They've been locked away with that person and are back. The chances of that person coming back are slim, as I've realized, and you should not hang on to that false hope. Just forget the past and look onto the future.
