Midgard
It was night and snow covered everything in this dark forest. Xaviar trudged through the snow with his silver hair whipping in the winter wind. His sword and sheath slapping agaist his thigh with every step. He came across a clearing in the forest where a lake layed rest, completely frozen. He walked cautiously to the middle of the frozen lake. Xaviar placed a winter fox's skin in front of him on the lake and said, "Skadi."
The snow became more fierce and standing where the winter fox skin was a beautiful woman wearing a glowing white dress. Her hair silver like Xaviar's and the only thing that ruined her image were her frightening gray eyes.
"Xaviar my son, what is your request?"
Xaviar bowed and said, "Mother, I need to avenge my brother's death!"
"Xaviar I cannot allow you to go after that horrible demon. You must stay away."
"No! Mother, that Thing killed Raven! My brother and your son! And you'll let his death be unavenged?!"
"Xaviar I have mourned over my son's death, but I can't allow you to go. I can't lose you too."
With that Skadi desolved in glistening white power and flew away with the snow. Xaviar was standing there alone on the frozen lake close to tears. He dropped to his knees and made a silent vow, " I will avenge my brother's death. I swear it..."
