I kept my finger in my mouth the whole way home trying to soothe the pain. What had happened back there? My Mother had been set on fire. And she didnt even know. She obviously couldntsee the fire, could she? As we entered the driveway for our house the car came to a halt and the doors locked.
"What happened back there Olivia?"
She asked string forward.
"I told you to stop the car."
"Because?"
"I thought I saw a fire"
It had to just have been my imagination. But it all seemed so clear. And all the fighting too.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Mom im sure."
"Okay then"
She said understandigly and she unlocked the doors, us both getting out. I immdiately went to my room.
