The pain racks through
Following its own path
And I know
It will head straight to my heart
First it will jab
Then my chest gets heavy
As it begins to stab
And rip through my core
I will writhe in pain
I'll breath in short gasps
My eyes will start to rain
And my will give in
I stop trying to fight
And let it run its course
It hurt me with all its might
And I lie there
A helpless victim of words
Which crush my heart
And impale like swords
Attacking my soul
Finally I regain
And remember
Who I am again
Safe for now but not for ever
It amazing what words can do
