The year was 2006. It was Febuary and i had just moved to the suburbs of Baltimore Maryland. It was the second semester of my seventh grade year and will be undoubtedly THE WORST semester of school i have ever had. In those five months alone, I was more bullied than I have ever been before in my life. I had choclate milk thrown at me, at least two "fights", a multitude of people insulted me for any reason they could find most of them pertaining to my weight, a vast number of paper balls, airplanes, spit wads, and "wasps" (a small, densly folded piece of paper shot from a rubber band) shot, thrown and allegedly "came from nowhere" at me that if all of it was collected, it could make the Amazon rain twice its size in trees. And many of my things were stolen even from my locker which was locked after the first minor theft of my tradng cards (back when i used to collect them.) and the worst of all a student even came up behind me and clipped my hair with an electric razor! But thankfully a majority of the madness ended in ninth grade.
In ninth grade however, a great change and notably the most life-altering event of my entire childhood. On saturday March ninth i was confirmed in the catholic church as a christian. Though i knew that deep within that i really wasnt christian, but i did it for my one and only mother. To make her happy. This was not the event. That weekend was the happiest she ever had. That sunday we all went to the smithsonian in D.C. and looked at all the exhibits of the theme that day "America's treasures". And it was there that i fact saw THE DAHLI LAMA himself! he was escourted by who i assumed to a translator and i always had more respect for buddhism than christianity. I thought of this as a religious sign and knew something was gonna happen. This was not the event either.
In the hours of 1:45 am and 2:15 am of the eleventh of March, my mothers, as the doctors have diagnosed, that her brain had stopped sending nerve signals to her heart and it too stopped. Unfortunately to make matters worse, a that time she was on the toilet, though there were no traces of any fecal matter or urine at that time. Since her head was not consiously supported her head fell forward, but in front of our toilet is a radiator and near the bottom of it is a screw sticking out where the the temperature nob was. Her head fell upon that screw. It had cracked her skull right in between her eyebrows and for the unknown time of when her brain went without oxygen, it had done irrepareable damage. We put her on life support for three days until March 13. My father's birthday. This is the said most important and most saddening event of my life.
