Hey, I just wrote a story! It is quite long, but oh well who cares I love to write. Plz read it and comment! I MUST KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT. Thx!~
There I was, with my friends lying beside me, my breath visible in the cold air. It was a crystal clear night. From the moment I, Ginelle Parlatti saw the first star in the sky, I knew it would be extraordinary, distinctive, exceptional. How did I come to be there, with all feelings except for love blotted out, with my spirit soaring along with the shooting star overhead? Well, we shall find out, won’t we? For now, I will begin the story, when, of course it all began.
It was the most normal day that could possibly pass by. As usual, I woke to my annoying –beep… beep… beepbeep…beepbeep…beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep- alarm clock, and slammed it, the beeping still ringing in my ears. I groggily swung my legs over the bed and stretched. My right shoulder was sluggish, and my left foot was numb. I thought I was started off to a bad day. Boy, was I wrong.
After brushing my teeth, I selected a t-shirt and shorts. I had everything in my backpack already, so I was ready for school. Still half an hour… I plopped on the coach and began flipping the channels. There wasn’t anything interesting, so I flicked it off. I took out a book and began to read. It was one of my all-time favorite books, a page-turner, and that’s exactly what I did. I kept reading, my eyes scanning the words, my mind making sense of them, but my imagination was going everywhere, picturing the scenes, characters, and feelings. Luckily, I looked up at the clock just in time. I still had 8 minutes. My dad drove me to school which took about 5 minutes. Then I still had about 3 minutes to talk to my friends.
My friends were Alia and Jaycee. We were the best of friends, the best of comrades, the best of buddies. We were friends full of love, always there for each other.
Jaycee, Alia and I had a scheduled play date later that day. We were really excited about it, as being with friends is one of my favorite things to do. We were talking about it already.
“We’re going to your house, right?” I asked Alia. She jerked her head up and down, and I nodded. “Okay. Just making sure.” I loved going to Alia’s house. She had a giant trampoline in her backyard, and it was really fun. She also had a big backyard, which was really good for a lot of things. The day at school was quite enjoyable- an A on my math test, compliment of handwriting from my teacher, and I had a great time at recess. I even had something other than a ham and cheese sandwich which I have every single day for lunch. That was a good surprise, especially because it was a donut. I love donuts. The walk home from school was also quite pleasant, because it was a clear day out.
When I got home I had to do my homework. Homework wasn’t hard, especially because I didn’t have much. I glanced at my list of things to do. I reluctantly did what I had to do, my eyes on the work, but my mind at Alia’s house. After my work was all done, permission to go to Alia’s house was granted. Alia lived only 5 minutes away by car, 10 minutes away by bike, and 20 minutes away walking. I wanted to go by car, so I could spend more time with my friends, but Mum said I should bike or walk because it was “such a nice day outside.” I groaned. Reluctantly, I grabbed my bike from the side of the garage and headed out. A long time later. It was already dark. My friends and I were having a crazy time jumping on the trampoline. Our feet were numb except for Jaycee, who had socks on. We could even see our breaths, but that didn’t stop us. We shouted and sang, jumped and lay down until we almost lost our voices. While we were lying on the trampoline resting, an extraordinary sight was seen. It really late, and all the stars were out. We spent a few moments watching the stars. I could see the stars clearer than I had ever seen them before. They were luminous stars, sparkling , shimmering, radiant, and gleaming. They were beautiful. For a few seconds, my breath was taken away. No longer could I see the cloud of my breathing. For a few seconds, we lay there, holding our breaths. In that few seconds, I saw a beautiful sight. There, in the sky, right above our heads, a beautiful, shining, shooting star flew overhead. Without having to be told, in those few seconds, we each made our wish. That night we lay in our sleeping bags, on the trampoline. Of course, at first Alia’s mom wouldn’t dream of letting us sleep outside. But we begged and we begged, begged, and begged some more. Finally, she let us. So there we were, talking, laughing, and not thinking of anything but how happy we were, with our friends next to us. Do you want to know what I wished for, on that starry night? Normally, I wouldn’t have told you, in fear of my wish never coming true. But this day, every day, is special. That is why, my dear friends, my dear comrades, I will tell you what I wished for. My wish was to have my friends by my side, through thick and through thin, forever.
