Black Sheep of the Family
I find myself in the back You all fixing me with those fake smiles I see right through these games The niceties and the care are far too pushed One can tell they aren’t genuine Don’t you think that hurts? For far too long I was your puppet Doing anything at your beck and call I then became a porcelain doll Letting you use me to make yourself better And with all that I was accepted I was one with the whole family But when I couldn’t take it any longer And left to make things better I knew very well what I became Now I’m the black sheep You’re still my family Don’t you see? I didn’t do this out of hate What I did was out of love Though once you’re the sheep You’re always the sheep You know what? I don’t really care Play your games Act out your charade I give up on being a fake This is me My life So deal.
