heart heart Gaia Aquariums--Drowning heart heart
I was initially excited at the news of Gaia's new aquarium feature. I love little fishies and thought it would be fun to take care of them virtually~
However, I'm unimpressed with the idea of an "Overseer" that gives you prizes based on your tank...especially paired with cash-only aquarium items. Obviously this is an attempt to get people to spend money on disposable virtual items in hopes of gaining virtual prizes. I find that morally appalling, mostly due to the fact that the majority of Gaia Online's users are teenagers or other young people who really should be spending their money (or their parents' money!) on other things--or saving it for important things like college!
To top it all off...the aquariums were released and I never even got to see mine. It's down for maintenance. Thanks, Gaia, for a NEW feature I can't even use.
