TransAmerica: I admit, I was a little sceptical about the whole woman from "Desprate housewives" playing a MtF transexual, but she won me over. She was dignified and awkward. The movie was basically about character, and it delivered that nicely. It didn't invite us to laugh at the transexual, but to sympathise with her struggle to be who she really is. I admit, her son was rather interesting to me due to similarities with a character I am playing on MUSH. It was interesting to see what they did with the characters and relationships. It was a good, solid little film, nothing spectacular, but definately worth seeing, even if it wasn't quite as brilliant as Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419294/.
