“It’s a bird!” shouted some lady.
. “It’s a plane!” shrieked Old Mister Crazy.
“No, its Super Strength Band-aids!” shouted the only logical one.
“That’s right folks…” said the announcers voice as I turned the volume off.

Ugh I thought I hate cheesy commercials.
The phone rang then, shrill and demanding. Eh, let them take a message.

Ring, ring, ring, ring, and…ring.

“Hey Freddy, its me Dani. I was wondering if you wanted to go to the mall with me and Johnny, if you do call back. Bye!”

Hmm, what was I doing today? Nothing, oh right. I picked up the phone and dialed her number.

“Hello?” Dani had a habit of answering on the first ring.
“Hi Dani, its Freddy” I greeted.
“I just left you a message…” she began.
“I know I was just calling to say I can come, what time are we going?”
“Right now I guess, hang on I got another call”

BEEP

Maybe it was Johnny calling to say he couldn’t go because his dog ran away or something…yeah ran away. And if its not I’ll make his dog run away.

“Freddy?” asked Dani.
“Yeah?” I answered.
“That was Johnny he can’t come because his dog ran away.” she told me.

That’s karma for you.

“How inconvenient” I said, hoping I didn’t sound, like, cold or anything.
“Yeah well, see you there”
“Yeah bye…”
