The other night
I spoke to you
Like we always do
It's nothing new

But the other night
Something wasn't right
You started asking strange
You started to change


I asked you what was wrong
All you did was just ignore
Was it something that I said?
Was it something that I did?

And I begged and I begged
To get your attention
And I tried and I tried
To see what had happened

I wanted to know the thruth
And I found out when you said
"I love you"

"I love you"

How many times have I said those three words
And they were all thrown away
Rejected and burned

Too much heart ache
For one little girl to take
And for the first time
And out of the blue
Somebody told me.....

You told me......
"I love you"

You never saw my face
And we are millions of miles apart
But all it took
Was my kindness and my care
To warm your heart

Even though you couldn't see me
You said that "It's okay.....
.....love isn't about looks anyway"
