Ok, so I haven't seen much input on this website. Basically Gaiapedia is the free Gaian encyclopedia written through collaboratively by many of its readers to help you with Gaia Online and it's storyline. Some people are constantly improving Gaiapedia, making tons of changes an hour, all of which are recorded on article histories and recent changes. Inappropriate changes will be change as soon as possible.
What it isn't it:
The Gaiapedia is not...
- A place to advertise another website:
The Gaiapedia is to be used for community editing, not just to put up links to another website.
- Wikipedia!:
The Gaiapedia is not Wikipedia, although a few of the articles may have content from wikipedia, we only document things which are related to Gaia Online so instead of linking to a page here on another subject (eg: Naruto refrences in a page about something that spoofs Naruto) use an interwiki link to link to an article on Wikipedia about the subject.
- Is not a myspace or journal/blog site:
The Gaiapedia is not a place for you to make a profile so you can tell other people about yourselves. No-one is allowed an article about them and only editors are allowed to have a page in the User namespace. The pages in the User namespace are meant as ways for you to allow other editors to be able to contact you or know about you, not for you to promote your theorys, ideas, guilds, threads, or other things.
- An Image Hosting site (e.i. Photobucket):
User's are not allowed to upload images of themselves, their avatars, their art or anything else that's not an actual image for use within an article to The Gaiapedia, this isn't a place for you to upload images so you can link to them, or a place for you to upload images for your userpage, userpages can only have personal images externaly embedded.

Gaiapedia rules:
Do not vandalize current articles. Continued vandalism will result in a block
Do not ask for Sysop status on the Wiki, or OP on IRC, it won't be given to you.
No offensive articles with sexual, vulgar language, and racist remarks.
Do not make pointless articles. If you see one, put the Request for Deletion tag on.
Do not posts request for gold or edit articles to request gold in a illegal way.
Do not be biased in your articles. Please make it neutral...
No advertising of non Gaia Website, unless needed. Non-Gaia Websites (when unneeded) and Guild/Thread Advertising is prohibited and considered vandalism.

Do not create articles listed in the Banned Articles list.
Gaiapedia Deletion policy:
Non-Gaia Websites
In most cases websites not part of gaia should not be created on Gaiapedia. If you come across such a article use the delete template, but do not use the quick format unless the website is an obvious advertisement for something with no connection to gaia.
Guilds
Guild advertising is a violation of the Gaiapedia rules, if a Guild article is small and obviously made to advertise the guild then the quick format may be used. There is a discussion going on at Gaiapedia:Articles_for_deletion/Guilds so if you add a normal delete tag to a page, please direct the discussion to that discussion by adding discussion=Gaiapedia:Articles_for_deletion/Guilds to the parameters.
Threads
While Forums are a important part of gaia, individual threads are not important to gaia and would be considered advertising to be placed in gaiapedia. You may use the quick format on articles used to advertise smaller threads.
While unique threads may be a important part of a forum, they are not important enough to gaia to be placed in the gaiapedia. If you come across such a article, please add a normal del tag to it and add discussion=Gaiapedia:Articles_for_deletion/Eleventyone to the parameters to direct it to the current discussion.
Users
Gaiapedia does not do articles on individual users. Please add a quick formated del tag to articles created about individual users. For users who may have more significance to gaia please add a normal delete tag to it so and admin may look it over and add a Breakup tag to it if needed.
Users are permited to create a page about themself on their own userpage as long as it does not interfere with Gaiapedia
Gaia Image Policy:
Licenses
All images must have the appropriate license tag placed onto their description page. This tag can easily be selected from the drop down box so there is no excuse for not adding the tag. Images uploaded without the proper tags may be deleted and users who repeat these actions will be warned and possibly blocked.
Information
The most restrictive tag that describes an image should be selected from the drop down box and used to license the image.
Generally when an image comes from Gaia Online you use the {{gaiaimage}} tag from the drop down box under (Gaia Fair-Use > Other Gaia Fair-Use) so that the image will fall under US fair-use law and Canada's fair-dealing laws. But when the images is something like a Item, NPC, or Ball Image, the appropriate tag should be grabbed from the drop down box.
Under other circumstances, most images not from Gaia use the General Fair Use tag.
Generally you can find the best tag by finding the category of the image under the sections, then picking the first descriptive tag because the less descriptive ones are listed at the bottom of the sections.
Personal Images:
Personal images such as Photos, Avatar images, Avi Art, Sketches, etc... are not allowed to be uploaded to The Gaiapedia. This rule is in place because The Gaiapedia is a place for documentation, not personal Image Storage or User listing and uploading images fills up ours, or our host's webspace with things that don't belong on the Wiki and in most cases pose potential copyright issues.
General Rules
Users are free to create a user page in the User: Namespace about themselves as long as it does not interfere with Gaiapedia and they are actually registered and active under that user name. As long as they follow the guidelines:
Gaiapedia Userpage Policy:
Limit your edits. (So that you do not clutter up the Recent Changes page.)
Keep your User page tame. (Insults, User Bashing, Misrepresentation, etc... Do not belong on a user page, we are not a journal/ranting/blog website.)
Do not upload a Personal image, such as a Avatar image, or personal artwork or photos. Images can be externally embedded into your user page by simply inserting the url onto the page.
Never remove a User warning template from your user page. (EG: A Vandalism, or Block template.) user warnings are placed at the top of a user page because of a violation of the rules, and serve as a reminder to keep within them. Additionally, user warnings are cumulative so removal would interfere with that process. If warnings begin to clutter the page, they will simply be placed inside of a box designed to separate warnings from content. If you believe someone has placed a user warning on your page for a unjust reason, contact a Active Gaiapedia Administrator. Removing a Vandalism warning from your user page is punishable by another warning of higher level.
Our User pages are given out as a contact sheet, or as a return for a user helping maintain the Gaiapedia. As such, a User page may be deleted(User pages with warnings will only be blanked of content) if it's User does not make any contribution to The Gaiapedia. This also means that the use of a user page for personal reasons such as advertising, or other things that break The Gaiapedia rules may result in the blanking of your user page.
