okay..
yesterday...
i went to my whacked out teacher's house along with 5 more people...
and when we got there..
it was what i least expected..
lol...
there was Humphrey.. (i don't call him teacher by the way)
and his co-staffers when they were doing their high school newspaper back then...
they had an all-night drinking session..
lol...
but then, he cleaned the place up, his buddies left and we got started...
he closed the lights...
and played a song...
it was some gothic song...
i laughed, since i was waiting for the lyrics..
the song finished, without any lyrics..
lol.
there was just the melodic voice of the woman who ended up screaming at the last part of the song..
and she said one line at the chorus... i guess it was "why did you leave me behind?"
he made us write an article, about how we felt about the song, what we think of it, etc.. for just 5 minutes...
then he played the next song... it was a Tagalog song entitled. "Kwentuhan"
well, translation: kwentuhan is chatting, conversing
it was an up-beat song... but if you listened carefully to what he was saying it was about a guy who can't sum up all his courage to tell the girl how he feels...
so, with all his desperation, he just clung to the 'kwentuhan' thing....
he was contented by just conversing or chatting with the girl..
then again, he made us write something.... for 5 minutes..
the last song, was Best I'll ever Be by sister hazel..
and all of us almost cried..
it was a beautiful song..
full of honesty..
then he made us write again.. for 5 mins..
when he got all our papers, he said..
"Do you guys have any idea why i'm doing this?" He asked.
"Well, there's 3 lessons i want you to learn today... First, for the first song... 'How to listen to something that says nothing... You listen by heart... The second song... With something as simple as kwentuhan, you can get something from it... simple thing that satisfy... and though the song was up beat it wasn't happy.. so not everything that sounds happy, is really happy... And the third song... I say, in everything that you write... Honesty.. It's what gets people to relate... You found it easy to relate to the song since it was very honest... same as when you write... What i've thought you today, will be useful not only in the pres cons but even in real life..."
well, i'm not sure if those were his exact words..
but i was glad...
oh yeah, if you wanna know, we call his house, the batcave..
we go like, "Humphrey, to the bat cave!!!"
so yeah, that's all i've got to say..
xd
