That night Leyli could hardly sleep. Her personal servant, Ckestrial noticed as well.
"Leyli why are you so ansy?" he demanded annoyed "And where were you this morning?" He stared at her golden eyes flashing with irritation.
Leyli sat up and looked at him "Well..." she started she diverted her eyes from his.While decideing wht to say next she absentmindedly braided her hair.
Ckestrial fed up with waiting walked over to her bed and sat on the edge "Tell me now." he said as forcefully as he could.He stared at her threw his black tipped hair.
Leyli glanced at him "I might be getting out of here tomorrow." She finished weakly.
Ckestrial caught his breath and stared at her thought racing through his mind, but the most important that begun to wiegh him down was if he was going to follow his duties to Morzon, or do what was right. He had to decided right now. Looking at Leyli he now understood her unusual fidgetting at dinner, and even now her lack of sleep explained it. 'She is so excited at the thought of leaving this place.Should i tell him or should i just run away now...or maybe I could..' he looked at her sharply "I'm going with you!" he said finally.
Leyli looked at him "You want to go with me?" she asked, then without waiting she murmered "Could he do both of us?"
"Can who do both of us?" Ckestrial asked wanting to know who else talked to her beside himself and the servants. He knew none of the nobles would talk to her. Neither would their children.
Looking at him she smiled "I can't tell you that, nor can I let you come with me."
Shock ran down his face "And why not?!" he demanded once again from her.
Leyli looked at him her face full of guilt. "Well you see your my personal servant that Morzon gave me.."She never called him father not after all the neglect he showed her on a daily basis,"and well he never even looks at me which makes me think that maybe he has a tracker on you or your his personal spy.Either way I'd be screwed tomorrow. Which is why I will tell you nothing else for now." after saying that she laid down again and shut her eyes.
Ckestrial looked at her then sighed he stood up and walked to the door. He stopped with his hand on the doorknob,"I want tell your father till you've already left okay." he whispered and left the room. Shutting the door behind him.
Leyli listened to him leave knowing she had hurt him, but she ahd been right he was her father's spy.Though it seemed to her that he was more lyal to her then he was to her father. She nuzzeled her face into her pillow and relaxed. Finally she begun to drift off to sleep.
The morning sunlight hit her face full blast when someone jerked her curtains open. She jumped up out of her bed as fast as she could blinking fastto clear her blurred vision. "Wh...what in the hell!" she yelled before stopping dead. Her eyes wide.
Standing in front of her was a tall man with blood red hair. Someone she had only seen from afar. Her father, Morzon. "Can I help you?" she asked her voiced regained from her minor shock.
Morzon turned toward her and smiled "Do really look like your father?" he replied in a voice she knew.
"Ckestrial" she questioned unbelievingly
At his name he broke out into and even broader grin "Yes I am your Ckestrial my dear. Nows no time for dillydally you need to get ready to go and meet your savior." he said slowly changing back into his normal scrawny self.
Leyli glared at him "That was in no way funny!" After yelling that she bent down and picked up her pillow,which had fallen to the floor to the floor in her hurry to get up.
Ckestrial just laughed at her and threw her a bag full of clothes."How ever did you get to sleep with such an exciting doy ahead of you?" he questioned teasingly.
Leyli looked at him and pulled on some pants over her nightgown like the morning before.She went to a very small,faded brown dresser and picked up a red ribbon. looking in the mirror stationed above the dresser she pulled her hair to the side and began to braid it.After finishing her hair she sat on the edge of her bed and pulled on her boots. All the meanwhile Ckestrial kept changing until he settled on his usual raven appearence. He flew to her shoulder and waited on her. Standing up she walked to her door,opening it she looked around the hallway.Whe she was sure no one was there she slung her bag over her shoulder and snuck out. Going to the servants door.Before she could do her usually routine someone opened the door in her face.
Out come Abysey's face. He smiled at Leyli and petted Ckestrial. "It's about time you got here though I didn't know you'd bring MR. Birdman with you."
Ckestrial cawed in reply to his little nickname.
Going into the servants quarters Leyli followed Abysey outside to the clearing she was in the day before.Waiting for them was Victor.
"It's about time you got here I was starting to panic." He stood up and walked to Abysey "Ok now tell us how are you going to get Leyli out of here without killing her?"
Abysey rolled his eyes "Do you have so little faith in me my friend. I would never do anything dangerous to dear Leyli." he smirked knowing that wasn't true. Just one year before he led Leyli and Victor to a pit full of starving demons. All he had wanted to do was see if they would jump to get there food, but know they had used magic.In fact the demons had almost killed Victor.
Leyli sighed "Victor give him a break he's getting me out of here today." she said happily.
Abysey nodded "And it was so simply I could have done it years before now." he looked at them all. "Ok so hug me Leyli."
They all stared at him with doubtful eyes.
"Are you sure this isn't another one of your jokes?" Victor asked.
Leyli walked over to Abysey and wrapped her arms around him. "Ok so now what?" they all looked at him.
"We leave of course." Below him appeared a large black spot. They slowly descended in to it. Appearing in Arcadia. Over half a world away.
Victor hit his head. "Of course I could have taken her out of here years ago as well.he too produced a black spot and appeared right beside Abysey and Leyli.
Ckestrial watched from a nerby branch on a tree. After a couple of minutes he changed back into a human and ran off.
