Our Love and The Tree Stump
The snow fell on my bare skin like cold feathers as i reminisced the memories of that faithful winter day. Images still vivid in my mind as the emotions were still felt. The cold was something I can take; but her leaving me was not.
As the foot prints disappeared slowly on the blanket of snow, I saw the same big old tree we used to see other at. That fully grown tree, shading us from the heat of the sun, from the coldness of the rain, from the big cruel world before us, is now nothing but a big useless stump.
And a tear fell from my tired eyes. My eyes tired of seeing the truths of life. Truths that hurt and kill us slowly. And i realized that, from the very beginning I was living in a world full of lies.
The truth was deprived from me, the truth that all good things must come to an end. And now it came as a silent killer.
I once thought that our story would end happily, but then you decided to go on without me.
And bit by bit I saw our love story crash before my eyes. And the dark shadows of the world started to eat me alive. I entered a world I never knew of -- the world of pain and misery.
Now I stand before the stump. Like our love, I was once a witness of this tree's beauty, but now it's nothing more of a big worthless stump - the memory of what was once a blossoming tree.
