Lucias was still staring at the wall five minutes after the kiss, his face split in a smile but his eyes seemingly confused and scared, he had little understanding of humans, let alone how to react after having a human display its love for him so blatantly. He continued to look blankly at the wall for a moment more before he heard Lily's soft and kind voice calling him from the main room, requesting his presence in a happy voice. Lucias was instantly snapped out of his trance of solid thought and responded to the call, moving quickly into the main room and sitting on the velvet settee that Lilly was already curled up on.
Lilly was sat resting against the left side of the settee with her right hand curled up in a fist in an attempt to not stain the settee with the blood seeping from the small wound on her index finger Once Lucias sat down she moved to be resting on him, her right hand remained curled up into a fist but her left hand was holding onto Lucias's shoulder. As Lilly looked up Lucias looked down at her, smiling kindly, Lilly returned with a smile, but this smile was different. This smile was thin and seemingly being repressed as she grinned. Then Lilly began to speak slowly.
“How do I taste Lucias? Nice?” Her voice was as thin as her smile but filled with a deceitful tone. Her smile grew wider as she waited for a response. But to that question no response came, only another question as a shocked Lucias spoke quickly.
“Is something wrong Lilly? You seem a bit odd today.” His eyes where now not betraying signs of confused but of concerned for Lilly's health. Lilly stopped for a second to gather her thoughts and then began to reply. “
“It must be the shock from yesterday I am still recovering from it.” She smiled in her usual way, her voice returning to normal also, only to change back instantly as she asked again. “How do I taste?” She looked him in the eyes, though Lucias saw not the eyes of the girl he had fallen in love with, but the eyes of some one different, some one commanding, who could not be denied any request. Lucias spoke quickly.
“Yes, your blood tasted delicious.” He smiled slightly, hoping that those words were what Lilly wanted to here, and they where. She smiled her usual wide smile as she put her bleeding hand around him and hugged him tightly before realising him from the embrace and running up the stairs into her room, as soon as she entered she slammed the door quickly, her smile growing wider across her face as she fell backwards onto her bed, her face staring straight up at the ceiling. She slowly spoke as her eyes began to close themselves. “We will be together forever, no matter how much he needs to feed he can just drink my blood, so he will never have to leave me.” She slipped into a n uneasy sleep.
Lucias shifted into the middle of the settee and looked directly upwards thinking. He was extremely confused by Lilly's strange behaviour, mainly the fact that she offered his blood to her even after seeing what he had done to one of her best friends, he knew she was obsessed with vampires but to offer your own blood happily to the person who just killed one of her best friends in front of her eyes is insane. The only reason Lucias accepted her blood was because he needed to feed and he could not control himself and he now regrets it as he believed he was just fuelling her obsession by telling her openly. He then made a realisation, it occurred to him that she may not have wanted him to leave her side, and was desperate to be with him, either because she loved him or because she was worried about any damage he could cause. He smiled as he believed it to be the latter. He slowly closed his eyes and began slip into a peaceful sleep.
Lilly's mind was full of ideas as she slept, filling her sleep with nightmares, all of her thoughts of vampires pushed to the extremes. She Saw Lucias smiling, his smile splitting his face, showing at least ten rows of razor sharp teeth, looking at her as he moved slowly towards her. He grabbed her neck and the top of her head, jerking her skull away from her neck, moving her hair away then pulling his head back stupendously far, only to slam it into Lilly's throat, causing blood to go everywhere in a ocean of blood and screams as Lilly cried for help. A darkness came upon her.
She was then sat in a cage, with darkness around her, a stabbing pain in her gut that felt like hunger and thirst. She reached out desperately for some food near her, only to then see her hand, deathly pale, she looked into a water bowl that was near her food and she saw a very thin woman with jet black eyes and disgustingly white skin staring back at her. She looked at the woman in horror, only to moments later realise this pitiful creature she saw was a reflection of her self. A single tear ran down her face and landed in the water bowl, which then turned into blood, not only the water, but the bowl itself melted away into a puddle of blood. Lilly called out for help as now the floor had turned into a sea of blood, and the sea was rising. As it slowly roes towards her torso she screamed again for help, looking at the tide of blood slowly creeping further up towards her face.
She screamed in vain, for in the darkness it was not heard by a single soul, her situation became grave as the blood had risen to her throat. She screamed again as the blood went over her face, she believed she was to die, she closed her eyes and waited for the inevitable.
She awoke screaming, cold beads of sweat falling from her fore head, breathing heavily she looked around the room, attempting to prove that it was her room and not another nightmare, noticing that yellow light was pouring in through the opened door. A moment after she awoke she felt something holding her, like a ring around her, keeping her still. She looked to her left to see Lucias hugging her strongly, looking at her. “Its okay, it was only a dream.” He smiled at her as he got up, kissing her gently on her ruby red lips and walking out of the room. As he clutched the door handle he turned around and spoke in a caring and kindly way. “If you ever have a terrible nightmare again, tell me, its better then keeping it to yourself.” As he slowly closed the door the light that was flooding into the room disappear, and Lilly slept peacefully until the morning light.
