Today I thought I heard your voice again,
but it's just the rain hitting the window pane.
Everything I've tried so hard to finally gain,
just like your love for me has faded away.
Yesterday I thought I saw you in my bed,
the shadows dance around inside my head.
The pounding of my heart fills my chest,
this aching won't ease won't let me rest.
I've been laying in bed for hours on end,
days come and go and keep stretching thin.
I feel my souls brightness fade in its touch,
my heart longing for your love's gentleness.
