So I'm driving to work this morning and I"m late as usual (my screen name on aol - because it suits me).
The drive takes around 40 minutes each way, and I have stopped taking the highway. Too many nut-jobs driving like idiots, swerving to get in front rather than getting behind - making everyone else slam on their breaks. Just a bunch of morons. Plus, going the "scenic" route allows for a nice quiet drive AND saves about 1/2 tank of gas per week. No idea how that happens, but it does.
So the scenic route takes me though a couple of miles of houses on the river - multi-million dollar homes. You really can't see the majority of them because they have large concrete walls out front, but there is always a nice patch of grass between the concrete walls and the sidewalk. Then another 6 feet or so of more grass before the road.
And this area is what caught my eye today.
A man was mowing that patch of grass, the one between his house and the sidewalk. But he didn't mow it all. He left a tiny little bit that obviously belonged to his neighbor unmowed. He didn't touch it. It was only about 1/10 of the total area and the man refused to cut it. I may have taken him three minutes. But he didn't bother to do it.
I just thought that was really weird.
