...dreaming...
First thing out of the gate Chimpy goes into the front where I have the equipment for the show set up and staged. He goes out and starts reading some book....outloud. Mind you, for anyone who doesn't already know, Chimpy is supposed to be the SALES GUY.
The boss comes in and stands in the hallway for a few. He's staring in disbelief. I made a funny and said, "If he spent as much time trying to sell stuff as he does messing around, he might actually sell some stuff."
The boss said, "I just need to get through the show."
I took that to mean that Chimpy will not be coming back from the show... er...well...he'll "come back" but just not come back here...as an employee...
So the boss makes a joke and tells Chimpy, "Hey instead of reading a book, why don't you make sales calls and record yourself making those?"
That comment pissed Chimpy off.
Because he stomped right into the boss' office and shut the door behind him.

Okay, so I'm laughing.
I just don't get it. He's such a stubborn jerk that he is bound and damned determined to do what he wants, regardless of what he's being paid to do.
I keep telling the boss that his salesmen need to be hungry. That he needs to stop paying them big fat salaries and put them on a commission base. So that way Chimpy would only hurts himself when he's not out there selling stuff. Don't want to do your job? Fine, but you're not getting paid to sit around and jerk off.
