NEWSFLASH! EVERYTHING SOUNDS BETTER IN JAPANESE.
Thus was this observation that lead to the tragic writing of this song.
I was scanning Gendou for new music when I read the lyric translations the new D.Gray-man song 'Regret',
and, unfortunately, was inspired to write such similar sappy trash.
Because really.
Everything sounds better in Japanese!
(In other words, pretend these are the translations to some Japanese song, and suddenly the sap becomes x298 times more bearable. xd
(Even more than yesterday,
Oh, this heart is fading.
In between the rush of traffic
Oh, suddenly I felt lost.)
Between speed-dialing and picking up cups of coffee, that I realized
Among the restless routines of the day
(Everyone looks like a stranger)
I can't see your back on that street anymore
(Oh, just a stranger...)
Today I felt, anyone that's not you is just a waste for my eyes
Just a stain of water on paper
From a brush that should've painted color
I drop the newspaper on the floor, close my eyes to turn off the lights
Because its cold and I can't sleep alone in the dark tonight.
Ever since your sounds stopped echoing in these streets
Oh, I felt lost.
Every back on the street is a clone of you
Black-and-white, like an old movie that never ended behind my closed eyelids
And even if you didn't say anything, it wasn't worthless
And even if you didn't look at me, it wasn't worthless
At least, not to me
At least just for a moment...
(Oh, did you look behind to see my back, even for a moment?)
Even more than yesterday
Oh, this heart is fading
Not held by your hands
It crashed and shattered
I'm left to walk on the broken pieces
(Oh, I'm no fire-walker
Please come back, hold my hand across this sea of coals
Oh, I'm no fire-walker
My feet are smarting almost more than my eyes
Its getting late, I'm getting tired
We're getting older)
Even if you don't say anything, its not worthless
(Everyone looks like a stranger)
Oh, even if you don't even look at me anymore
It wasn't worthless
It wasn't worthless...
Even if you can't see over this blind drive
Don't worry, we weren't meant for a life of sleeping
Even if you can't see over this blind drive,
Don't worry, everybody's not a stranger
And you turned back to look at me
With a blinding smile
Like a star among the city smoke I could find over and over again, every night
The street seas are parting
Let's go home and call this a day
(Not everyone's a stranger)
The doors are closing, but your hands are as warm as ever
Let's go home and call this a day
Let's go home and call this a day...
Yeah
(You're not a stranger)
(Its cold, I'm dark and alone, and I can't sleep with the lights off tonight)

But I do like it, it's deep and good...
[It was hell to get your journal, by the by. razz ]
It very well could be a japanese translation, the way it's written. xD
