(An old page from a field manual found in Light's sketchbook, it is worn and yellowed with age.)
Welcome trainee!
You have been selected from hundreds of possible candidates to become part something even greater than yourself, and do things with your life, that most people can only dream of! Whats the catch you may ask? There is none, just complete the necessary training and familiarize yourself with the contents of this manual, and you might find yourself among the brightest, most prestigious and noble men and women from all around the world, those of Section XIII. Now Section XIII deals in many different lines of work, from policing towns and cities to assassinations of criminals ranging from low level thugs to high level entities. But as with many great organizations, ours strives towards one major goal, that is working from behind the scenes to help smaller agencies of interest (Mainly this would be Police, Sheriffs, or militaristic groups in the area that are in need of specialized services not of a natural level) and lend a hand in a time of need, in essence, we are peace keepers and dealers of justice when no one else can assist those in need, but not all of our work falls under this line, to better understand our agency, we will break down the structure of different jobs and such that our agency has.

~Jobs and descriptions~
-Enforcer: Usually not field agents, but can be used as such if a situation calls for it, these men and women are usually the armed personnel posted in and around key points of interest to our agency, such HQ or research facilities.
-Solider: Agents who can either be deployed into the field, or play the role of makeshift enforcers if no missions are available. While out in the field, soldiers, depending on rank, can choose to go on missions solo or with a team. Team size can vary depending on the mission, but on usual mission, a 3 to 4 person team is the norm. NOTE: If mission calls for it, soldiers may need to play enforcer role if none are present and if the situation calls for it.
-Special/black ops: These guys are our elite soldiers. They are almost like ninja in a sense, and they have there own little covert unit among Section XIII. They are only called in when a regular unit cannot complete the mission, or is in danger. If you have a thirst for danger, this is a job you may want to look in to, but is defiantly not for the faint of heart. NOTE: Required training regimen to get into this unit is rigorous, may result in injury or death. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
-Lab Techs: These are the guys behind our agencies inner workings, these are the men and women who invent all the gadgets and gizmos our people use in the field and other things of interest. They also deal with R&D, mission planning, and new weapon trials, which means techies get to have some fun with their new toys before sending them off to the boys out in the field. NOTE: Lab Techs are not bound to the lab, they can be brought on missions when they are needed. Lab techs also go through training for self defense and arms, due to the probability that they might be attacked in the field.
-Medics: When your riddled with bullet holes, or you have a bad cold, these guys are the people you want to see. Trained in a variety of medicines as well as natural cure methods, these guys are a force you would want on your side, not the other way around. Medics have their own brand of training, but they are trained in the art of taking life as well as preserving it.
-Cleaners/sweepers: When a screw up happens, or evidence needs to be erased, these are the people we call in. They make things 'disappear' from people to battle damage in a highly populated area. Not to be confused with assassins, these men strictly handle the remnants of battle.
-Intelligence/Record keeping: Not all of our jobs are field jobs, this job is an example of that. These are the people that keep detailed data on every mission, finances spent on missions, and things that go on in our agency, down to the toilet paper in the restrooms. If you need to know something, check in with them, they'll point you in the right direction, or check the Section XIII archive, its accumulated battle data through the ages and from around the world, as well as books ranging from art to diffusing bombs. NOTE: A record keeper will usually be deployed with a unit to send data to the central archive at Section XIII HQ.
-Flight Corp.: If you love flying, then you'll love this. Section XIII's Flight Corp. is a top notch to say the least, and the air crafts they fly range from normal to experimental. And they're motto "Death from above!" is nothing to laugh at either
-Naval Corp.: For those that love the sea. They work in conjunction with the Flight Corp. and the Mech Corp. at times when we need mass transportation of units to far points of the world. At sea, these guys support our troops, and bring pain to our enemies with the artillery they wield.
-Mech Corp.: Like robots? Then we've found your vise. Mech's have been given they're own Corp. unit due to they're unique nature, they can be deployed over land, sea, and air, be manned or unmanned, and have uses other than combat. The R&D department works a lot with them, always providing new toys, so just when you think you know it all, new possibilities open up!
-This is just a handful of what Section XIII has to offer you, for an agency that started with such humble beginnings, it has grown into a powerhouse and continues to grow still! So stay tuned for future updates, and get out there and face your destiny, a future full of possibilities with Section XIII!-
