I turn into a dreadful, horrible b***h this late at night. I really do. But come on, people have to have at least looked at the quality and creativity of entries that go around? I mean... right now i'm looking at a Hamburglar entry. It looks seriously f'kn sweet, and the best these douches can come up with is a random assortment of stuff you get out of the Daily Chance and can scrounge up for less than the 1000g it'll cost you to enter, anyway! Sometimes simple is better, it's true. For instance, this week, go and search for keyword 'Urkel'. Go ahead, do it. That av didn't cost more than 3k, and it is ******** gold, and on fire. THIS AV IS NOT THE RULE, IT IS THE EXCEPTION, THE GOLDEN, ON FIRE EXCEPTION. BE PREPARED TO SPEND SOME MONEY ON YOUR AV.

AND THEN, on the other end of the spectrum, there are the people who make their avs 'Check out all the expensive bullshit I can fit in my avatar'. Obviously they have 1000g to throw around, with all the MCs they be buying. For crying out loud, if you want to wank about your av that much, there are forums to do it in.

Don't even get me started on the descriptions side of the fence. I mean, some people actually go to respectable lengths to provide people with a reason as to why their pixels are assembled in that fashion. For crying out loud, Ukiyo no Yuusha wrote a wonderfully constructed original poem for one of her friends on the Arena! Some creativity is called for, and while it's true when some detractors say that 'this isn't the Essay Arena', entries such as 'I am evil wit a side of luv' and 'this is teh most awsom av on the arena lol' are just not acceptable. I s**t you not, I cut pasted those from the Arena just this evening. It makes me want to physically abuse someone with a Speak and Spell.

Cosplayers, a brief mention of who your cosplay is supposed to be, and a link to the picture you're basing it off is only common courtesy for those who actually want people to vote for them! Not that this is a common problem, most serious cosplayers are actually reasonably clued in.

Also? SAILOR MOON ISN'T COOL ANYMORE. THE MAGICAL SCHOOLGIRL UNIFORM WAS MONTHS AGO, AND IS NOT ALL THERE IS TO SAILOR MOON. IT WAS OLD WHEN I FIRST JOINED. Sorry, it's a pet hate of mine sweatdrop

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why i'll never go on the Avatar Arena. I like my gold, and I'm not as creative as some of the sods out there, so I won't win. Plus, I have no doubt that a bunch of friggin' weeaboos who thought their Naruto cosplay was 'gr8' have written my name down and search for it every day... then, it will be on stare

So yeah, I'm a curmudgeon. Especially at 3:30 in the morning. I'm sure there's stuff i've missed out, but maybe that means you'll get another rant from me 4laugh
