This is a roleplay a close friend and I have been doing, I hope it is enjoyed
Takachi moved his head towards the sun; he enjoyed the warm feel of its rays on his ravaged flesh. It was about midday, he could hear many children wandering around, but he was listening for one in particular, one that he was teaching martial arts to. He furrowed his eyebrow and removed his glasses, which covered his frightening white eyes. They bothered many people who saw them. "Oh come on girl, what the hell is taking you," He muttered to himself, he reached over for his staff and found his way down his front steps. The grass crunched lightly to his sensitive ears as he heard some one nearing
Hello, Dear One!" Her nerves were not visible to too many people, only those who truly knew her. "I apologize for being late. It is after all an important day. I'll only be eighteen once." Her fear of disappointing him, the one person who had ever truly allowed her to belong, was great. He had been a part of her life for many years now, and had in some ways, taken the place of her dead father. She know what it would mean if he sent her away. She looked at him, not knowing the fear or disgusted others may have. She smiled again, knowing that though he could not see her, he could feel it. I have seen Aiden today."
He bent his head down towards her and smiled. "Eighteen today eh?" He then chuckled slightly and turned away. "It is time for your training, come!" He yelled to her as he began walking away. Takachi led the way to the backyard; he had built a large area for training, almost a quarter of a mile in diameter. He stretched slightly and removed his shirt, just as he did so many times before, for, not even he realized how mangled his body was. THe scars on his body covered him from head to foot, and he was missing his right leg, but it did not put a disadvantage on him, he used everything to his advantage, just as he teaches his pupil too. "Come now Miss Rahyne, prepare yourself for training" He sat down cross-legged and waited for her to get ready.
As she prepared, she took a moment to look at him. Funny she thought that others would find him scary. People are odd; no wonder I do not fit in. With that, she imagined the void, and the candle within it. She allowed all thoughts to burn away in that flame and the smoke to drift away into the void. Only then was she ready to learn. "I am ready sir."
Takachi jumped to his feet and smirked at his pupil, his eyes narrowed as he /watched/ her. His eyes narrowed and he sensed his pupil, he breathing was steady, her heart beating freely, and her mind was clear. However, her adrenaline was begging to pump slightly more than what it should. His eyes narrowed even more "CALM YOURSLEF GIRL! IF YOU ARE NOT FIGHTING, DO NOT USE ADRENALINE!" He did not like yelling at her, but he had to make it clear. He got into his fighting position and said to her, "No come at me, with all you got."
Frustration at his reprimand seeped into the void. If she was to learn, how could there not be excitement? She flew at him, her mind a whirl of possible attacks. She realized, a moment too late, the error in her attack. As she hit the ground, her mind went blank. There was no pain, only embarrassment. She got to her feet and decided how next to come at him. Upon hitting the ground again, her frustration overwhelmed her. "How is it'" she asked as she stood again, "that you are able to do that. Why am I not able to get near you without bruising some body part and my pride?" Her mind kept straying to Aiden, and what he would think if he knew of this newest failure.
Takachi sighed slightly "Clear your mind body and soul," he then saw an opportunity and attacked. She tried to block, but Takachi grabbed her arm and threw her a good ten fifteen feet. "I SAID CLEAR YOUR MIND!" He then sat down once more, and began to scold her. "You have to understand, you cannot fight clear when you are thinking of someone, if you DO think of someone, use your emotions to attack," he said to her plainly.
Shyna took the opportunity to sit and rub her sore arm. "You tell me this every day, sir, and yet I cannot completely grasp the concept. I try not to allow my emotions to creep in, but inevitably, they do. Normally I am decent at it, but today is a little harder. Aiden proposed to me today, sir. I do not know what to say. I apologize sir; I am not clearing my head even now. This training is important to me and I do not want to lose it, but then so is my other life, the one that includes Aiden. How is it that you manage to clear your mind of EVERYTHING? I do not understand, even now, after years of training, how you are able to do that." The frustration and embarrassment that drenched her voice were hard to ignore, even for her. She didn’t want to disappoint him. She did not want to lose her chance to learn all that was offered to her. Yet she wanted to be normal. She wanted the chance to spend a day doing nothing but what she wanted, instead of spending most of that day, doing what she was told. For the past five years, most of her days were spent training, and though she loved it, thrived on it, she wanted normalcy.
Takachi sighed slightly "I know what it is like to love hun, I lost my wife in the war," He pulled off a glove covering his right hand; it showed a heart with wings. "This is a symbol that represents her, she was literally an angel, with the most beautiful red wings a person would ever see." he sighed slightly and wiped his eyes. He stood again and stood in his fighting position. "So, emotions do get in the way for me, but I use them to my advantage," He narrowed his eyes, his mind was also now elsewhere. Aiden proposed to her. The only person he had considered family in over ten years. He would have to meet this person.
A tear slid down her cheek as doubt began to crowd her thoughts "I fear I will never grasp this. Perhaps I am not meant to be this person." She stood again, regaining composure and determination "You use your emotions to your advantage. Well, I have emotion to spare. Apparently, I will have to figure out how to use it." She formed the flame again in her mind. This time however, it was different. Instead of allowing thought and emotion to disappear into the void, they fed the flame. She allowed all of her to flow into the flame. It grew and consumed all. With an all-seeing blindness, she launched herself at Takachi. Even as he blocked her first attack, she launched another… With a third, attack she caught him off guard (something not easily done) and sent him sprawling to the ground. When the realization of what she had done crept into the flame, she dropped to her knees. "I am sorry sir. I did not mean to let it overwhelm me."
Takachi laughed heartily, he sat up and rubbed his cheek slightly, there was a small red mark. "That is perfect, that is what you have been missing!" HHe walked over and hugged her, once again forgetting his strength and cracked her back. He set her down and patted her softly on her back. "Now, I have something to give to you Miss Rhayne, call it a birth day gift." He walked towards his small house and entered, not noticing the news that the virus that had been killing so many had finally made it to his part of the world. He grabbed a large parcel (a katana), headed outside, and greeted his apprentice with a smile. He sat down and crossed his legs, "So, tell me miss Rhayne, are you prepared to accept this parcel?" he asked her as he continued his fatherly smile.
"I believe I am, sir." She sat in front of him, their knees almost touching. She held her breath as he transferred the package to her lap. She let out her breath silently as she pulled the strings loose. As the fabric fell from the katana, she inhaled sharply. Its beautiful was all that she could think. "I don’t know what to say, sir. Thank you. It is beautiful. However, I do not know how to use it. I am afraid I will be quite clumsy with it. I don’t want to inadvertently destroy it." Her heart swelled with pride and joy. He thought she was good enough to be given a masters blade. Good enough to be given the chance train to become a master. Nevertheless, there was that little seed of doubt growing in her mind. The doubt that she would master anything of this sort. Other emotions swept away that doubt, at least for the present. Love took its place. Love for a man who had taken her in when her father had died. For this man that didn’t judge her as others did, who was willing and patient enough to teach her so many things, both on the training field and off. As the silent tears began to roll down her cheeks freely, she leaned over to hug him. "Thank you. I do not know what I with ought you? I don’t know where I would be if you hadn't taken me in as your pupil."
Takachi smiled and patted his pupils head slightly, but halted at a sudden sense of danger. He tossed Shyna away as gently as he could and grabbed his staff. He could sense danger near him, but could not sense life. His muscles tensed. "Miss Rhayne, hide now!" He said to her in a stern voice, there was trouble, and he had to dig deeply into his senses to locate it. AN image popped into his mind of a large object heading at him at a quick speed, he jumped into the air in time to dodge it, a vehicle, and a car. Someone had been running, but from what, tat was what worried him the most. He gripped his staff and swung quickly at the first thing that he could sense, he heard a sickening thud of wood on bone and a deep guttural groan
"Takachi! I will not run, I will not leave you here alone!" His reply only registered in parts. Something about foolishness and doing as one was told. Her mind shut down as she studied the thing that circled Takachi. From the stench, it should have been buried for weeks. HoW was it possible for it to be dead and yet alive at the same time? Fear began to sink in; she could feel it in her bones. The command of "RUN! HIDE!" broke through the paralyzing fear. Knowing there was no arguing with Takachi, she headed toward the training grounds, knowing that if she made it to the cavern, she would be safe and Takachi would come for her when the thing, the monster was dealt with. How did one deal with that sort of thing? She wondered as she neared the cave.
Takachi staff had broken upon impact he threw it aside and acquired his fighting stance. He fists in front of his face he protected himself, there were more of these creatures around, but he needed to wait, he could not use his true powers in front so his apprentice, she could not yet witness his true powers, it would destroy her, he knew it would. He sensed that she had finally made it to the cavern. "Close the door, close the door!" he muttered to himself, though he was becoming woozy, the stench of the foul creature was unbearable. He head a snap in the distance, she had finally closed the door behind her, Takachi smiled a rather wicked smile, he lunged at the creature took its head in his right hand and squeezed. THere was a definite sound of squelching before the creatures head imploded. He then gathered his inner energy, his chi force. Though jute could see net, it could be felt, and it causes his strength to increase multiple folds. His muscles tensed as he felt other creatures nearing him, and some more heading towards the cavern. He now feared for his pupil, no, his friend. "DON'T YOU DARE YOU WRETCHED BEASTS?" He screamed as he attacked with all of his force, he ripped and tired at the creatures. HE tore there limbs from there bodies, and used every means he could to stop them, but they continued at him there were too many, he had to escape, he ran to his small sanctuary. The creatures were many in number, but were quite slow. He threw a few that were in his way and made it to the cavern. He crashed though the door and closed a large barricade behind him, he was bloody and sore, they had cut him in May places. He would have to tend to his wounds immediately. He had gotten many wounds before, but none hurt as these did, they felt as if they were destroying him from the inside out.
"Sir, what are those things? How is it that they live and yet they are dead? There are so many of them. How do we kill them? I mean I saw some of what you did in my mind, but I do not understand." At his look of wonder, she hurried to explain, hoping he wouldn’t see her as different. "When I got to the cavern I sat and opened myself to this feeling I have within me. When I did, I was able to see you, and those beasts. I saw what you did to them. I felt the emotion from you, felt the fear and the anger. However, I felt nothing from them. Nothing aside from the overwhelming drive to eat...to eat us. I know that I have not been honest about what I can do with this part of my mind. But I was scared you would send me away" She began to help him tend his wounds. She sensed something different about them. As she grabbed the linen strips from the shelf, she wondered at his abilities. Apparently she was not the only one keeping secrets. SHe knew that on some level, she should be scared of him, but oddly enough, she was not. She was only worried for him. She bound the wounds after cleansing them. She realized that whatever had done this to him had infected him. She could feel the essence of the things growing witching him. Though she was scared, she did what was necessary. "I think I can heal you. More than what I have done. I think I can get rid of what is now in you."
Takachi sighed slightly, he did not realize this pupil had similar powers that he had. "Do not worry young one, these wounds will heal just fine, I will be okay. H e stood up and tightened his sash, his clothing was tattered, but that did not matter, he had to get Miss Rhayne to safety. He had to get them out of here, but his curiosity sparked. "You did not need to be afraid of your gift my dear child, there are not many in this world that hold that ability, you and I are just a couple of the few who can." he said to her softly, he then paused. HE turned his head towards her, he was sure that she was beginning to understand "It is sight with out sight, power without power; it is ones true inner being. It is the power of your soul, the power of pure essence, and you must learn it, if you do not it will destroy you. His eyes narrowed, he was also quite worried for what she had seen. "You should hot have watched Miss Rhayne, what you had seen is not for the eyes of a child, it is too horrid for anyone to see." He paused once more, he walked towards a small spring and took and long drink of water, he had never been so thirsty in his life, his wounds still hurtle, but because of his abilities they were healing quickly and no longer infected, but he was sure they would cause him pain for the rest of his life. "Now, we must find a way to be safe, do you know how to drive?" I cannot, a second sight only works on objects that are living, well sort of., I just cannot see the road or anything like that." He stretched again nod walked deeply into the cave "Come child!"
She followed him. As they navigated the tunnels, she began to wonder aloud. "What could cause these creatures to die and yet live? It was no sorcery. I could feel that. It feels more like a sickness, one that overtakes the system. However, how it works I cannot understand. However, if it is a sickness, then it can be healed. I don’t think that it is possible to do such in the creatures that attacked us, but early on it is possible. I could feel that when I was tending your wounds." She looked around, amazed at how far into the system she had been lead without realizing it. She felt safe in these caverns, she always had. As she looked around, a sudden, bone chilling, fear gripped her. What of Aiden? What of her mom, Carrion, and Gabriel Iron? Were they safe? Had they been hurt? Worse, had they become one of these creatures themselves? She dropped to the ground no longer paying attention to Takachi. She opened herself up to the power, and found what she sought. She saw her mother, Catriona, Gabriel, and Aiden. They were barricaded in a shelter along the river, 5 miles from where she now sat. When Takachi approached, she sprang to her feet allowing the power to dwindle. Her voice was calm as she began to speak "They are alive all four of them. They are in the altar room of Dragons Lair. The mansion 5 miles from here." Now her voice cracked with fear and sorrow. "My mother has been infected. It will not be long until she turns, and she will go after the rest. I must get to them. I must heal her. I cannot lose them." By the time she finished there were huge tears running down her cheeks. She was nearly hysterical. She looked at Takachi. Fierce determination and anger lit her eyes "I must get to them as quickly as possible. I will go alone. I do not want to risk you as well. I know these tunnels and caverns like my own home. I will be safe. I will come back to you with them. I will not let this thing take them."
Takachi looked at her with a sorrowful look on his face, he did not know if he should tell her the truth, but he knew he had too. He had sensed what she had sensed almost fifteen minutes ago, her senses were not yet accurate to areas far away, and she was visioning the past. "Miss Rhayne, I-I cannot let you go alone, you do not know the true danger that awaits you, I am afraid that your senses are deceiving you, and what you saw is not as is." He /looked/ into her eyes, his own actually glowing lightly into he dark. He knew that her mother had already turned, though the others were okay, they were safe, and would remain so. "I do not know if you are ready for what you will see my child, so tell me, are you prepared for the worst?"
"I am not, for I don’t not know what the worst is. However, I will be damned if I will not fight this. Therefore, help me, I will do what has to be done, no matter what stands in my way, be it operates, beast, god or goddess. I only pray that I get there before it is too late." She pulled the katana out of its sheath on her back. "Guess it’s a good thing I brought this along. No better time for a lesson than the present. No better lesson than do or die. Let’s go." She began to walk in the direction of the mansion but stopped abruptly. "If that’s okay with you..." She looked at Takachi for his approval, remembering again that she was the pupil, the 'child'. That thought grated on her nerves, though. "How do we kill these things, again?"
Takachi gave her a firm look, he then nodded his head. He knew what they had to do, though she did not yet realize the terror that was ahead of them, he knew that she would be able to handle herself. "Just swear that you will be careful nod follow my order when need by young one, this is not a training session, this is battle, and you have not yet experienced battle." he walked ahead of her without looking back for her answer, he knew that with or with out his pupil he would have to help those people. He looked to her one last time though, "When you attack, go for the head, sever it or destroy it." He said with a sort of manic scowl on his face.
Knowing that he would help her save those she loved did little to rid her mind of the sense of doom that filled it. He was right, she had never seen battle. She had mastered the use of her emotions only hours ago. How was she supposed to do anything in battle? She pushed these thoughts out of her mind as they neared the entrance nearest the mansion. She new the thoughts would only help to defeat her, and defeat was something she was not willing to accept. The mouth of the cave loomed ahead of them. She could only sense the faintest taint of the virus. She formed the flame in her mind, allowed it to consume, and strode out of the cavern alongside Takachi, prepared for battle. Her emerald eyes burned with an inner torch as her skirt blew in the wind. Thankfully, she had worn her wider, knee length skirt for practice. It would allow her to move freely
Takachi smiled, he yarned for battle, he loved to battle. He took a few steps away from his pupil and began to concentrate; he could feel his power building as he concentrated. He knew tat this might actually hurt Miss Rhayne, but he felt that she may be able to waistband it. He concentrated even more, the wind blew around him and a cyclone began to form around him. "Now witness Shyna, the true power everyone possesses!" He said as his muscles bulged, he opened his eyes, which glowed brightly in the darkening light. "I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU FREAKS!" He yelled at the top of his voice, and then frank into battle with a sick smile on his face.
Shyna gave no thought to Takachi ferocity, for she had not time. The first beast fell upon her instantly, ready to feed. Her body felt as though it belonged to another. With a skill she knew she did not possess, she dispatched the beast. As it sank to the ground, its head rolling at her feet, a sense of wonder engulfed her. Okay, I couldn’t do that this morning! She thought. She whirled around only to feel the katana sever flesh and bone. How did I know to do that? She glanced at Takachi. He was a whirlwind of attacks. Somehow, it was as if his power was seeping into her. "Takachi, I'm heading for the mansion! I have to get them out of there." She began to run.
Takachi nodded an okay at her. However, he kept his concentration on his enemies. He was also sure that Shyna had already noticed that he has lending some of his energy to her. He knew that she needed all the power she could physically hold. He was also using his chi to send information of how to use a katana, and other swordplay. He knew that it would only work for a short period, but hopefully it was all she needed. "Hurry up Shyna; I cannot hold them off forever!" He yelled to her as he connected his foot to a few of the creatures, breaking there necks in a strange rhythmical unison. He smirked as he heard there bodies collapse. He crouched down and prepared to destroy every one of them. "Now prepare," he growled, "to rest in peace."
Shyna reached the doors of the mansion. As she passed through them a sensed of dread crept into her consciousness. She ran across the marble entryway and toward the alter room. Nothing could have prepared her for the sight that awaited her. "MOM? What are you doing out here? It's not safe." Dread colored her voice. As her mother slowly turned around Shyna saw the changes. "Mom?" she whispered. Sorrow, anger and guilt flowed through her. Her throat constricted. Her eyes glossed over with tears she fought to hold back. "I'm too late" With her words the beast that was now her mother attacked. Dumbstruck, Shyna was not able to move in time. She was bitten. With a kick to the stomach, she disengaged the beast. She knew what must be done, but found it hard to do so. I love you mom." With those words, she flew at the beast. With one sweep of her blade, her mothers head was severed. As the decapitated body sunk to the ground, so did Shyna. Something broke in her then, though she did not know what. With face upturned, she screamed. An unearthly sound it was, filled with anguish and rage. She cursed whatever had caused this plague. She rose slowly, though she felt the importance of getting out of there quickly. She knew Takachi needed to retreat soon, knew that it was his energy she felt so strongly within herself. With unknown force, she broke through the doors of the alter room. Gabriel, Catriona, and Aiden were there. To her relief they were unharmed. Multitudes of questions were thrown at her, none of which she answered. There is no time for this now. Takachi is waiting; he cannot hold them off forever" "What about your mother?" Gabriel asked. "She is dead. I killed the beast that she became. She was dead long before my blade ever touched her. Stay together, and stay close to me. If one of those things comes near you, well, they are not very fast, so you should be able to out distance them. Leave the killing to me." Her voice was slightly detached. "What has happened to you?" Catriona asked. "Run now, asked questions later. You won’t be able to ask if you're dead." With that, Shyna led them out of the mansion.
Takachi kept up his battle. "Damn it girl, what the hell is taking you? He growled as he fought off more of the creature, but they were beginning to subside. However, he also feared of what he would meet when Shyna returned, he knew what she did to her mother. Will she do that to me? He thought to himself as he fought off the last few creatures. They had finally subsided; he collapsed to the ground, his face into his dirt and the air on his back. It felt cool on his sweaty body. "Wow, I haven’t experienced something like that in years," He muttered to himself, and he just smiled
The small group, lead by Shyna made it back to the spot where she left Takachi. She easily dispatched the few creatures that chose to attack. Odd she thought that this does not bother me. It ought to, but somehow, I do not feel it. Perhaps it will catch up with me later. She could feel Takachi energy, could feel his life force. She was relieved that he was alive and not infected, albeit exhausted. It still bothered her immensely to find him lying face down on the ground. "Takachi, we must go. More creatures approach. We have to get you to safety so that you may recover." "Your arm" Takachi said, "It is of no importance. I will heal it when we reach the caverns. Give me your arm, I will help you there." She knew how much it would bother him to have her help him, but she also knew how exhausted he was. She felt a twinge of guilt at that thought. If she had not taken so long, he would not be this exhausted. As she helped him up, the walls she had built since that encounter with her mother began to crumble. She steeled herself against the emotional pain and did what needed to be done. Using powers yet untapped within herself, she was able to project the illusion of living beings a mile away from them. This allowed the group to reach the mouth of the caverns without running into any creatures. She got Takachi safely into the caverns and hoarded the rest of the group in before barricading the door. With that done, she sank to the floor. All of those neatly formed walls crumbled. She began to sob, emotion taking over. Her body shuddered with the force of the great sobs as Aiden move to comfort her. He reached over to wipe away her tears. "Don’t touch me." Shyna said as she pulled away. She stumbled over to the nearby spring and dunked her hands into the ice-cold water. She began to scrub at her skin with the numbing water. Her skin crawled. She could not get the stench of those things out of her nose. Could not get the image of her mother, transformed into one of them, out of her mind. Distantly she felt the ache of the bite on her arm. She stopped her cleansing only long enough to draw enough inner power to kill the infection inside of her. Still sobbing, she returned to the cleansing. She was nearly numb now and almost out of tears
Takachi collapsed onto the floor, but he gathered himself up quickly. He could not take this anymore, he had to, in a sense, see watt was going on. He began to concentrate, and son enough, everything around him was becoming as clear as if he was looking at everyone in broad daylight. Shyna was near the spring, and Aiden was over her. The two others were on the other side of the caver sobbing quietly. He got to his feet, thinking to himself, /she is injured, she is infected, she is not strong enough to fight off the infection/ he then smirked /but then again, neither am I/ he looked down to his wounds, they were not healing, he was infected, and it had been in his body too long for anyone to help. He was going to die from this, but he would fight it as long as he possibly could He stood and walked over to his pupil and placed a hand on her shoulder, he then looked over to Aiden and growled "Leave us boy," Aiden looked at him with fright and left to the other two. He Then looked to Shyna, she was in worse shape than he had thought. He took her arm and squeezed it, he knew it would hurt her, but it would heal her arm almost instantly, "Your going to feel a burring sensation now Shyna," he whispered to her, steam began to rise from his had as his chi seared into hers. She whimpered slightly, but she was now healed. He sat back and laid his head back. "You now the terrors and the intoxicating senses of battle, I have no more to train you." He said with a slight grimace, he did not like the thought, but if she was able to defend herself in battle, she did not need his help anymore. A small tear trickled down his scarred face and splashed into the spring, he got to his feet and walked to a different end of the cavern. He turned back and said in a quite yet harsh and powerful voice. "You should all leave at day break, leave me here to die." He had fleet like the lowest of the low, it was his fault tat everyone was as they were, he should have gotten there soon, and he felt so hurried for Shine’s mother, the woman she looked at with so much respect, he could have saved her if he had been there in time. But he was to slow, too weak. Now he would pay, but before he knew it, everything went dark, and he fell to the ground with a thud, there was a skirmish of feet and incomprehensible speak that he could not understand. He then passed out
TAKACHI!" Shyna raced to him. She passed her hands over him, feeling for what was wrong. "He is infected. He will turn. You three go to the spring. There is a passageway on the west side of it. Follow that passage until you come to the Crystal Cavern. You will be safe there. Do not leave until I come for you. Stay quiet. Do nothing to draw attention to you. You will be deep in the cavern system but you must not take any chances." She turned her attention back to Takachi. "I will not leave you Shyna." Aiden stated fiercely. She did not take her eyes off Takachi "You will do as you are told. If you want to survive, you will leave now. If you want us to have a future, leave now." Shine’s tone left no room for argument. The three headed for the spring. She sat beside Takachi cross-legged and took his head into her lap. She withdrew into herself and allowed the flame to form, allowed it to consume. She drew on every available power. The trees, the water, the earth, the air, the animals. Nothing was out of her reach. As the power grew within her, it threatened to burn her alive. It took all of her to control it. She felt the power flow through the hands that were placed upon his temples. She directed it toward the infection. With a searing heat, the power left her. What little of her mind that remained conscious felt for his. Anguish filled her as she lay down beside him. "It was not enough, sir. I was not enough. I am sorry. I am so sorry." A single tear slipped down her already damp cheek as she slipped into oblivion.
Takachi opened his eyes suddenly; he was alive, and healed. His strength was fully revived. "Shyna, how did you do it?" he asked, but he heard no answer, he concentrated, he could feel her life force, but it was faint. "No," he whispered. He moved around and found her body next to him. He took her in his strong arms and /looked/ down to her. "You will not die dear child; you have a destiny to fulfill." He rose on of his hands above her bosom and concentrated. He located her heart with his inner eye. "Damn it girl, you are to strong for this!" He muttered, "You can pull through this!" His muscles cringed as he finally felt her heart beat once more; he then heard a strong gust of air sweep into her small lungs. Wit Hough thinking he threw his arms around her.
Shyna moaned softly. She hurt. Her body felt as though she had fallen off a 30-story building and then been run over several times by a Mac truck. Her head was in a vise that was continually tightening. She did not want to be here. She wanted the blackness again, the painless nothingness. Somehow, she knew that was not possible. She slowly opened her eyes. It is not possible. I failed. How could he be…? "Takachi? But how...I wasn’t strong enough, sir...how?" With that, she slid into the void again. When she awoke the next time, she was only dimly aware of the pain. She saw Takachi sitting beside her. The realization that she had fainted crept into her thoughts. She blushed deeply. She had never fainted before. This was definitely an odd day. A very surreal day. Perhaps it was all a dream. Perhaps she would awake in her bed, to find nothing wrong. She would prepare for training. She would come home afterwards and eat with her mother. "Is this a dream, sir? Will I wake soon?" With his grim look, those hopes were dashed. "The others! They are in the Crystal Cavern. I must fetch them. I told them I would be there." She attempted to stand and immediately her head swam. She collapsed to the floor, fighting off the void that threatened to consume her again.
"Be still child," Takachi said grimly as he sat with his back to her, he had built a small fire and was drying the blood from his clothing. He stood nude but trusted Shyna not to look in his direction. He was a very open person, so this is something he did often. "How are you feeling?" He said to her as a wrapped a towel around his waist, he walked over and felt hoer forehead, and she was still a little warm. He laid a cool wag over her head and told her to lie back down. He then turned hi sack to her again; he was still ashamed at his previous actions, of how he had acted like such a coward. "Shyna?" he said quietly, "please, forgive me, for everything, I should have sensed all of this, I should have prevented it, please, forgive my coward ness."
"Sir, it is not your fault. There is nothing to forgive. You could not have stopped this. No one could have. In addition, I fear no one can. Besides no one is perfect. No one can sense all things at all times. To do so would drive one mad." She turned her head away. "I killed my mother, sir. I would have killed you had turned." Shame and guilt coursed through her. "Something inside me broke when I killed my mother. However, how is it that you did not change? Before the void took me, I sensed no change in you. How is it that you are better than when you first reached the caverns? I do not understand, sir" She was looking at him, her emerald eyes glowing in the dim light.
Takachi sighed he was not sure if he should tell her his suspicions, but he knew he had too. "Remember I told you of my wife?" He asked her, his eyes closed, fighting back tears, "Well she had powers similar to that of yours, she could heal, she could even bring those back from he dead that had recently perished, her name was Phoenix." He sighed once more and wiped his eyes, he had told no one of his wife, the only woman he had ever loved, and he had never looked at another woman sense then. "She passed her powers to me, and told me that one day, there will be a child who has similar powers, and that she must be taught to use them. But she never told me why, she died soon afterwards." HE began crying now; the thought of phoenix was bringing to much pain to his heart.
"I am sorry for your loss, sir. You are the closest thing I have to a father. I don’t want you to hurt." She wiped away his tears, her heart reaching out to his. She allowed love to flow into him through that casual contact. When she broke the contact, she was confused. "You think that I am this child? Why is it that I have never known of this? How was I to prepare for anything if I did not even know? I do not see how this power will help me. I cannot save the world by myself. I am not strong enough for that. We both now what it did to me when I healed you. I still do not even know how exactly I did that." Doubt filled her mind again.
He looked up at her, his white eyes narrowed. He knew that he could not let her do this; it would kill her if she did. She is the closest thing to family that he has, he cannot lose her, not for anything. "You will not do this alone young one, I will do It." he paused, not really wanting her response. "I have lived a good life, I may not be very old, but it was a good life, and I have already seen more than anyone ever should. I have watched hundreds die, and I have killed that many more, this is not a life I would wish upon anyone." He stood up and looked towards the crystal chamber, "You friends are fine, and Aiden is returning, should he get in my way, he will get injured," At this he headed towards the crystal chamber, he had a weapon there that he thought would work quite good, he knew that he would be able to do what he needed with it. Though he fell to a knee shortly after entering the path to the chamber, a vision passed through his mind, he heard his wife saying ":this is not the child, protect this one, she is the key!" HE looked around with utter confusion, how can she not be the child, but be the key? There is no sense to it, another image flashed through his mind, an image of a boy with long dark hair, he had been attacked bit he creatures, badly, but he had not turned, and it seemed that he would not. He was immune; they had to get to this person.
"What is it Takachi?" Shyna had followed him to find Aiden. At his grumble, she left the subject along. "You know that I cannot let you do this alone, sir," She began, fear beginning to creep in "If you think it will kill one of us to do it, would it not be better to have both of us. Perhaps then we could overcome it." She sensed Aiden near and stopped talking. She didn’t want to upset him even more. She did not want to know what Aiden thought of her now. She had killed. She killed her own mother at that. She was different now, and feared he would shun her. "Aiden. I must speak with you." She said as he came into view. She lead him to a small alcove, careful not to touch him incase he could sense the change in her. "Aiden I love you with everything that I am. You know that. However, I need you to take Gibe and Cat and go somewhere safe. I will talk to Takachi and find out where." "I'll not leave you again. You made me do it once, but not again. Whatever must be faced, we will do it together." Aiden said taking her into his arms. "I have changed Aiden. I am not the same person you knew." She said crying silently, looking up at him. "What I must face you cannot. I am not even sure that I will be able to in the end. I do not want to make you hate me, but if that’s what it takes to make you go, then I will." She could feel her heart breaking as she said the words. "It matters not how you have changed. I love you. Nothing will change that." Shyna smiled at his remark. She tilted her head invitingly and touched her lips softly to his. "Let us get the others you must lead them for I cannot. You are the best fighter among them. If you run into trouble, only you will be able to save them." She said this knowing it would push him into agreeing. She led the way. She knelt beside Takachi. "Where do I send them so that they are out of our way and safe?"
Takachi /stared/ straight ahead, he then sighed deeply. "Near the entrance of this cavern the will find a door on the ground, it is buried slightly, but it is safe, there is food water and power, they will be safe there." He continued walking towards the crystal chamber, but he bumped into Aiden, he grabbed him by the nape of his neck and brought him face to face with himself. "If we live through this boy, you had better treat her good, or you will have me on your back," he then put him down and continued walking. HiS mind was wondering everywhere, there had been too much happening in such a short period, he was not sure if he could make sure everyone survived this one. He scowled, he had not felt this angry or helpless ever since he lost his best friend in the war his death had been attaché’s fault as well, as had the deaths of the rest of his squad, but he had to push that away from his mind, the last thing he needed was a war flashback. He looked to the ceiling and ran his hand across it, "We are close, stay by my Miss Rhayne, then you will be safe, you are not yet strong enough to fight, and trust me there is much fighting ahead." WaTar trickled into his distance, it made a sparkling sound as it hit the earth, and they were at the chamber. He wished that he was still able to see it, like he had all those years ago, where he secretly wed phoenix. That was one of hills last happy memories. "His brow furrowed once more.” You wait out here Shyna, I need to do this alone," he said as he entered a small sanctuary.
Shyna sat cross-legged and waited. Frustration and impatience mixed to form a volatile substance within her. She knew it wasn’t good for her so she formed the void. With no flame to consume her she slowly began to feel, total peace.visionis pushed at the ends of her consciousness. She slowly let them in, one by one. There were memories of her life before this hell began. She wept silently as she felt the joy, sorrow, anger and hurt all over again. As the visions began to come toward the present, fear and rage came with them. She briefly saw Takachi in the sanctuary; knew that he was safe for now. She saw her friends, and the man she loved and knew that they were safe. New visions began to take their place. She saw creatures in every part of the world. No place was left untouched. She saw a boy, nay, a man. In his eyes, she saw their future, their salvation. In his eyes, she also saw herself.
Takachi neared an alter where lay an empty sword stand. He placed his hands on either side of it and muttered a sutra. The alter spins around into a hidden chamber, its walls glowed brightly, and at one end of it stood a great crystal blade, only to be wielded by a temple monk of the highest degree, but they had all died out years ago. Thoughts were running through attaché’s mind, should I really be doing this? This is a sacred temple, this is a sacred blade, should I take it I will be breaking my own code of honor. In addition, should I do that, then my code will be no more, and I will have no more reason to held back any of my power, the power I swore to phoenix that I would hold in and never release. My true self, but true inner being. However, should I do that; I may kill everyone, like I did before. He scowled deeply and reached for the blade, its power echoed through the chambers. He could feel its force pulsating below his hands. "Just does it man, just do it." He reached for the blade, and took it from it’s alter
As Shine’s visions flooded her mind, the cavern began to glow with power. Whether that had to do with her power or Takachi, no one would ever know. She felt a searing pain across her chest. She cried out as she watched Aiden die in her mind. She sobbed aloud, not knowing she was doing so. Again, she saw that man. His face unfamiliar, and yet very familiar. She came out of the trance lying on her side, curled into a ball. She felt as though she had been ripped in half. These things are of the future; perhaps they can still be changed. Shyna carefully sat up. She looked toward the sanctuary, only to see it glowing. She felt the pulsating of the cavern. What is going on in there?
'DAMN IT ALL!" Takachi screamed as he tore the sword from its resting area, the baled felt perfect in his hand, almost as if it was made for him, its power flowed through him, and it seemed to heal him. Hoes wounds closed and his strength returned 10, no, 100 folds. He was more powerful than ever. His body glowed slightly, and a strange outfit appeared on his body, at first he thought it was an armor, but no, it was a dress suit. A dress shirt and pants, with a red vest, with a large red trench coat and a red hat. The clothes felt very awkward on him, but at the same time felt perfect. He grinned as he felt sunglasses form over his nose; he pushed them up and slid the sword into a newly formed sheath. He grinned devilishly; he had never felt so powerful, so dangerous, and so deadly.
What the hell? Shyna slowly rose to her feet. She fought with herself. Should she go in? Alternatively, did she sit and wait as she was told to do? She paced the passageway as she thought. What do these visions mean? Who was that man? Why did he seem so familiar to me though I have never seen him before? Then realization hit her. SHe had seen him before. He had haunted her dreams as a child. He never hurt her, but there was always an underlying fear along with the mystery. She walked toward the entrance of the Sanctuary. She put her hand to the door, felt the heat. She tried to sense Takachi, but he was distorted. She pushed open the Dorr in fear
Takachi could feel his pupil entering the temple, has anger begun to over flow him. /I told her to stay behind! / He thought to himself, /foolish child is parading to her death! / His anger over whelmed him, his /original/ power was beginning to over come him, "NO! Shyna! Go back, GO BACK!" H screamed at the top of his lungs, he could feel his mind tearing just as it did when he was young. He had kept it at bay for so many years, and now it was pushing through his very soul, his mind was tearing itself apart, KILL it said to him KILL! "Damn it," he mumbled, a nod then his true self emerged. Takachi fell to his knees, and rose as a man that he had thought was gone, a true inner demon that had supposedly died years ago, "Ah hahahahahaha," It laughed, it looked dup to the ceiling "It has been to firkin long!" It said as it raised its arms, it stretched its shoulders and two demonic wings erupted from its back, "I have been waiting for this day for a long time Takachi, and there is no way I am letting you back out."
The sight of Takachi was alarming. His aura was distorted and faint. In its place was a murky, blood red color. It didn’t feel like him. This is not right. THIS ISNT RIGHT! Shyna closed the door. She had to think. Had to figure out what to do. That is not him in there. He doesn’t feel like him. He feels...dirty. He feels evil. Panic threatened to take over. How could this happen? How could the one person she knew she could rely on in this hell completely change? She could not grasp the concept. She sent up a silent damnation for whatever power had allowed this to happen. A single tear rolled down her cheek. She had to get the others to safety. She could sense that this new Takachi had the blood thirst. He wanted to kill, thrived on it. In addition, he knew where they were. She opened her mind and searched for the others. Her mind touched Aiden lightly at first. She felt his uneasiness. She knew he could sense that something was wrong. She pushed further into his mind and made herself known. She felt his shock at the invasion. "Aiden," her mind said to his, "Something has gone terribly wrong. NO time to explain. You are in danger. You must take the others and go to the Whispering Spring. You will be safe there, you will be hidden." She felt his confusion. She knew he would argue. "You must do what I say if you want to live. Keep the others safe. I love you." With that, she withdrew from his mind and came back to her own. She 'watched' the others leave. They made their way to the cave. When they were safely at the spring, she set up a barrier; one that would hide them and allow no one to enter the Cavern of the Whispering Spring. With that taken care of, she allowed herself to concentrate on the current issue: Takachi. She was so deep in thought she didn’t feel Aiden approach until it was too late. She spun around, ready to strike. "AIDEN!" I told you to stay there. You are not safe here. He will kill you." "Who will?" Aiden asked "Takachi." Shyna said simply. "Something has happened. He has changed. He is no longer the person I knew. You have to go." She spun around at the sound of the barrier door splintering, prepared to defend herself and Aiden, if he didn’t run. RUN! GO AIDEN! THIS ISNT YOUR FIGHT. RUN SO THAT YOU MAY LIVE AND I MAY FIND YOU AGAIN." She screamed as she looked into Takachi eyes. She fought not to think; fought to form the flame and allow it to consume. She drew her blade prepared to fight.
He smirked evilly, he knew what he was looking for, and he wanted those kids that had given him such a headache. "Come out come out where ever you are kiddies!" He laughed as he lurched through the halls. "Oh Miss Shyyy-yyna! Where are you?" He bellowed out a horrid laugh that would make blood run cold, his eyes were growing bloodshot. He felt his fangs finally growing out, his arms had grown longer as well, and his hair was becoming a white color, and had grown a bit longer. He laughed as he walked forward, weaving slightly, almost like a mantis stalking its prey. HiS head throbbed painfully, but he fed off the pain, he enjoyed it, it was intoxicating, now he wanted blood, he wanted to gore those that had annoyed him so. "Watch Takachi, as I kill everyone else that you love his sword drawn and laughing he darted towards his prey, Shyna blocked his first attack, but he was far to agene for her, he slashed her right below her eye and laughed.” Now for you boy friend child!" He laughed as he landed, he reached out and grabbed Aiden around his throat and began to squeeze. He smiled as Shyna attacked him, though her baled barely entered his flash. "You will need more power than that you feeble little insignificant beast," He laughed his harsh laugh once more, and then used attaché’s voice, "Concentrate young one, kill me you must, HAHAHAHA, if you can that is, you are to weak, you have always been to weak!" HE laughed even more, he could feel maiden’s life withering away in the palm of his hand.
The confusion that had taken over her mind earlier was pushed aside as rage took over. "YOU HAVE TAKEN TAKACHI FROM ME. YOU SHALL NOT HAVE AIDEN." She once again drew power from everything; and once again, nothing except Aiden escaped this, not even the creature that was Takachi. The power for from the creature felt dirty, but she knew she needed it. Her skin began to burn. Her mind was like a white-hot sun, blinding, sparingly hot. Her eyes burned with a light never before seen, the emerald spheres boarding into the creatures own. She attacked viciously, using both mind and blade. Her blade seared through flesh, leaving a large slice on the arm of the creature. As Aiden was dropped to the floor, she used her mind to shove him into the other cavern. With that done, she turned all of her attention back to the creature. "You want to fight? Fight with someone who has a chance." She stood straighter, eyes burned brighter. A wicked smile spread across her face, twisting it into an evil-looking beauty. "Let’s play."
He smirked and stretched his arm that had been attacked, it healed within seconds. "I see, so now you are ready to have some fun eh you wretched girl? Well that is fine by me." With that his hand plumaged forward into her stomach, he kept pushing and he arm went clean through her torso, he lapped up the blood that showered into his face, his eyes gleaming and his teeth bared. He is enjoying her pain, he can feel it running through her mid. "Come now child, tap into my power and heal!"He bellowed, he has wanted a good fight, but he did not feel he would get one from the child, as she bled more he threw her to the ground, "Get away you weakling, if you cannot defend yourself you are not worth to live, so go before I kill you," With that he opened his wings and flew off into the sky
Shyna stretched out on the ground. She had not the energy to cry. She did not want to live. She begged for the darkness to engulf her. Why wouldn’t it take her. As she lay there, her life's blood spilling onto the ground voice crept into her mind. At first, she did not recognize it. Fight this! The voice said you have the strength, use it. Heal yourself and avenge me. "Takachi?" she murmured. You have touched his very being, his source of power. Use it to your advantage. Curie is my other half, the darker side of me. Use what you know of me and open yourself up to him so that you can kill him. "But it will kill you." she said weakly. IT must be done. If it is not, no one will survive this. "But he is so strong." she said she was beginning to get her strength back. That he is, but you have the potential to be stronger. Use all that you must, including his own strength against him. I cannot tell you how, but you must. You were like a daughter to me. I love you. You must do this. AVENGE ME! AVENGE PHEONIX! By the time he had finished talking, she had regained much of her strength. She carefully sat up, and ran a hand over her torso. It was nearly healed. "How the hell?" She stood up. She felt different. She knew she had been tainted. Though he was nowhere near she, she could sense Curie more so now than she could when his hand was in her torso. A tidal wave of emotion hit her. Sadness and anger gave way to grief and rage. She looked around. Everything seemed so much clearer than it ever had. Sensations were stronger. She stretched, as if she had slept for years. She had never felt so alive. She laughed aloud, the sound not managing to sound happy. A devilish smile played across her face. "Now we shall truly play," she said to no one
Curie circled the sky in thought, "You cannot help the girl Takachi, we both know that I will kill her," Curie said as he finally came to roost atop a large old church, not many people knew it, but it was directly above the whispering cavern. "I will kill them all Takachi, there is no one to stop me now." Though a deep guttural voice came from kuris mouth, "I, I have stopped you before curie, and I will stop you again." It then gave way, Curie just laughed, "If you are not even able to speak old friend, how can you beat me?" I wiAll some how, do not worry about that Curie Takachi voice said in the back oaf there mind. Curie turned his head and saw that Shyna had finally begun to pursue him. "Took her long enough," He scowled slightly, he began to take flight but his wings suddenly became paralyzed, he toppled from the top of the church, "Damn you Takachi!" He yelled as he fell from the top of the building, Takachi giggled into he back of his mind, See you later Curie, I have figured out a way out of here! Curie looked to the ground, and seconds later, he fell head first into it with a sickening thud. He got to his feet and roared "YOU CAN NEVER LEAVE TAKACHI! YOU ARE TO ******** WEAK!" Curie yelled to the heavens, but this time Takachi did not answer. He had truly found a way out of there mind, his aura had escaped, and he would be joking the fight again soon.
Shyna sensed a change within Curie. She no longer felt any part of Takachi within him. Where are you Takachi? She wondered. As she ran, she began to draw power again, began to turn some of Kyurie's power on himself. She pushed the ball of energy on the telepathic level. She intensified it as it reached Kyurie. She felt it hit him, felt him block it partially. She also felt the pain it inflicted, and felt a little tingle of joy at it. She came upon the church with terrible speed. She knew the others were beneath them. She would draw Kyurie away from them. She slung another attack his way telepathically and smiled. "SHALL WE DO THIS AGAIN KYURIE? She to him as he kneeled on the ground gripping his head. As his roar was sent up, she laughed and began the journey toward the town. knowing he would follow
Takachi smiled as he watched Shyna beat Kyurie down, now that he was no longer with Kyurie, he had lost much of his power take him down Shyna, he may be to strong for you yet, but I will be there to help you soon. Takachi knew that the boy that the needed had died, but he had contacted Takachi and informed him that his body is fine, a few cuts and bruises, but it was usable, his soul may no longer beagle to function within it, but with attaché’s power, he would beagle to revive the body and use it as his own. ANed this is what he had to do. Soon enough he had located the body, it was fine 0other than missing an eye and a few cuts, and it was powerful, this child had been strong. It had a large sword in a sheath, Takachi smiled at this. A Scottish claymore, his favorite He laid down within the boy’s body, and a few moments later, opened his eye. He was a new man, a man free of an evil source. He got up and bent to a knee. "Thank you Cage my friend, I will not let this gift of life go in vain." He then looked up, his eye narrowed; his other had been sewn shut. However, he was finally able to see once more. "Now, Shyna, I will help you," He said as he sprang from the ground, his new muscles bulging as he ran, his legs pumped, he could not remember ever running so fast, this child had been powerful. The you fertile body of a 17 year old. Strong and fit, with no serious injuries He smiled once more, and then fell to his face. he sat up and giggled, new body, ya got to get used to them he thought to himself and then snickered so enough he came across the church, he could sense Shyna, he ran after her and soon found her, battered and bloody, but still in the fight, he smiled and yelled to Kyurie "HEY BUDDY! GUESS WHO'S BACK!”
Shyna froze, shortly shocked. This was the man from her dreams. Yet he felt like Takachi. How could this be? The momentary loss of concentration was enough to have her sprawling to the ground when Kyurie hit her with a fist. She lay on the ground and watched as the man and Kyurie circled each other. She didn’t have much time to think before a zombie approached her. She flipped to her feet and dispatched the zombie easily. That at least had become easier since she began billeting Kyurie. She took a moment to think and heal her. Takachi is full of surprises isn’t he? Well, now at least I do not have to kill him also. I will have help to kill this Kyurie person. Well, person doesn’t really explain him does it? Monster is more like it. She watched the two men as they began to battle. She waited for a paten to emerge so that she could easily join the battle. She was itching to get her hands on Kyurie again. SSurely, she could not let this new Takachi have all the fun. A sick grin spread across her face as she charged ready for battle.
Takachi felt that Shyna wanted to enter the battle, but he could not let her, not yet anyways. "Stay back Miss Rhayne! I have a bone to pick with this beast!' He bellowed to her in a voice that was not his own. He watched Kyurie closely; he had to get the sword from him that was his main concern. He then attacked, there was a fury of punches and kicks, but Takachi now being the smaller and more agile fighter got the upper hand, one quick kick to the side of Kyurie's head took him down. "He, not as strong as you thought you were eh?" Takachi said as he drew Cage's sword from its sheath. He took it to hand and ran full force to Kyurie, prepared to dismember him in every possible way. He landed his first attack across his chest and torso, spilling his innards.
At Takachi's command Shyna stopped her charge. Her respct and love for him overpowered this new-found thirst for battle. She knew that he could handle himself, but damn it, she had a bone to pick with Kyurie. He had tried to kill Aiden and herself. He had tried to take over Takachi, had almost forced her to find a way to kill him. Oh yes she had a bone to pick too. She could feel the anger, the sorrow, the pain, and the rage eminating from Takachi. She hurtled another telepathic attack Kyurie's way. She smiled as he cringed, enjoying it emmensely. if she couldn't fight physically, she would do so mentally. She spun around sensing a zombie as it neared her.Her blade sliced effortlessly through it's neck As it's body slumped to the ground She whirled around in time to see Takachi land the blow that gutted the beast Kyurie. "It couldnt have been that easy!" She murmered as she watched Kyurie sink to the ground.
Takachi stood above Kyuries whithering body, "Get up kyurie, there is no way you lost all of your power already," Takachi said. He raised his sword once more, but Kyurie got the upper hand quickly, he attakced Shyna with a telekanetic and kicked Takachi to the ground, with that he spread his wings and took off. He was ouyt of sight in seconds. "DAMN IT!" Takachi yelled as he punched the ground, causeing a shockwave to spread all around him. "HOW COULD HE GET AWAY AGAIN! THAT b*****d!!" Takachi screamed as he continued pounding the gground, tears were now emmiting from his eyes. He punched the ground a few more times and stood up, his back to Shyna, he shuddered slightly as he felt dark powers coursing through her veins. "You must destroy the darkness shyna,"
The attack hit Shyna hard. She was unable to block it due to its speed and the fact that she wasnt expecting it. As soon as it hit everything went black. She felt as though she were sinking in a bottemless pit. She watched her life pass her by in reverse, until she was nothing more that a fetus in her mothers womb. She felt pain as that final vision left her. The pain grew stronger as the blackness became tinged with red. The blackness melted away and she was suddenl drowning in a pit of blood. She felt her skin melt away, followed by muscle and tissue. Her bones were the last to go, burning into a powder, blown away by a wind. She was only a mind now. Had only her thoughts, and they were suddenly changing. She saw many different futures, none of which were good. Then a picture of Kyurie came into her thoughts. She screamed aloud not aware that she did so. "You did this to me! What have you done?" SHe projected to Kyurie. "I have given you the ability to become as I am. I have offered you the chance to come with me." He said. "Never. I will die before I become like you." "And die you may. But you are stronger than this. You can survive the transformation. You have already been tainted. You have lusted for battle. You have heard the blade scream your name, have felt the power flood through your veins. You have taseted my power. You have only to say yes and you shall have that power too. You are already like me...just take my hand and have all that I have." Kyurie said in a soothing voice. "You lie. I will not take your hand. I am nothing like you. You will only kill me in the end." With that she used what strength she had left to hurl a bolt of power his way. He dissapeared as it neared him. With that darkness engulfed her and she thought no more. As Takachi watched, her body began to convulse as she fought the power.
Takachi looked back to Shyna, a shocked look came over his face as he watched Shyna flirt with pure evil. "no, damn it shyna, do not take the same route I did, he is just looking for a new body to posses. He started to run towards shyna, he kept yelling to her to turn away, to ignore Kyuries offerings, no matter how good they may sound. For that was kyurie's most powerful atribute, to persuade. He finally made it to shyna and lifted her in his arms. It reminded him so much of Phoenix's end, of when she neared death, it was almost the same exact situation. "Come omn girl fight this FIGHT THIS DAMN IT!" he yelled to her, he could do nothing but motivate her now, and motivate he did. He took to his feet and used his most stern voice. "GET UP GIRL! YOU ARE TO STRONG FOR THIS! THERE light shown from above, Kyurie circled the skya nd plummeted towards takachi, then he vanished, enterin Takachi once more. Though he made a mistake of putting off Takachi's new found power, a power that can only be aquired at a near death experience, supposedly the power of the gods. Kyurie sreamed in pain as he and takachi became one once again. Takachi then fell to the ground and smiled up at the night sky, it looked so beautiful, it shown brightly under the creseant moon.
SHyna stayed in the blackness for what seemed like forever. She re-surfaced once, briefly. SHe felt weightless, as though she were being carried. She herd muffled voices. They sounded vaugely familiar, and very worried. She drifted off again, back into the blackness. She would hear her name now and then. Sometimes felt coolness where her forehead should be. Everytime she surfaced, not matter how briefly, she was assaulted by pain. She watched parts of her life again. Saw the faces of those she loved float in and out of the blackness. She came slowly back to awareness for the last time. SHe felt the cool rag on her forehead again. Heard soft murmers of encouragement, and was finally able to put a name with the voice. She slowly opened her eyes to find herself in her old room for this was a new body and funtioned differently than his old one, so he had not quite figured out how to heal himself yet. But he was still more worried for his pupil, and the peculiar feeling he was getting from Aidenn, a feeling that brought a chill to his spine.
Shyna gripped Aiden's hand as hard as she could with the little energy she had. "Where are the others?" She asked weakly, trying to sit up. Aiden gently pushed her down, telling her she needed to rest. " I have rested enough. I do not have time to rest, Aiden." She said determinedly. She successfully sat up, only to have a wave of pain and dizziness wash over her that was so great it caused her to pass out again. When she came to again
