Justin had just left Kandy's house. After recovering a friendship and reuniting a relationship, Justin was quite exhausted. It was 3 in the morning and he was driving as carefully as he could to reach home. About a mile from Kandy's house he pulled up to a red light at a four-way intersection. Driving his mom's car, he felt confident that he would not have any trouble with the police. Out of nowhere came a black patrol car that passed him up. Thinking all was well, the police car turned around completely and approached the vehicle next to Justin. Thinking they were going to turn with the other car, his nerves slightly dropped. When the light turned green, he saw the red car next to him turn, but not the patrol car. Justin accelerated to thirty miles an hour, which was the speed limit, and activated the cruise control on his mom's car. Knowing that he was driving perfectly straight and doing the exact speed limit, he knew that getting pulled over was anything but possible. He continued down the road and just before the street he had to turn at, the lights that can drive a man insane shined behind him in his rearview mirror. The glowing red and blue twirling lights signaled Justin to pull over. When completely motionless, and a bright white light was shined into his driver side mirror, he moved to get his license and insurance cards out. The officer told him that his registration light was out. Justin's jaw dropped and very angry thoughts raced through his mind. While handing his information over to the officer, Justin was asked if he had anything to drink. He shook his head in amazement and lifted up the cup next to him. "Just a slushie." Justin said retorically. The officer gave Justin a smug look and asked him to remain in the vehicle. While the officer went back to his vehicle, Justin instinctively took out his cell phone and texted Kandy the news. 'hey i just got pulled over lol. and they followed me for like a full mile and a half before they pulled me over!' Waiting for her response a second officer approached the vehicle and shined his flashlight in through all the windows apparently looking for something. Justin's cell phone buzzed as a new text message arrived. 'omg did they give you a ticket???' Justin replied explaining that if they did he would take them to court because neither him nor his mom knew about the light being out. The officer reapproached the vehicle and handed Justin a white paper telling him that this was only a warning. Justin said thank you to the officers and drove off laughing the rest of the way home.
