I started writing it and I well I lost my flow---honestly I have a lot of mixed up feelings so my thoughts are not straightened out

Had it been a second later,
My heart would have stopped beating.
But, in the nick of time,
Your honesty saved me.
I knew I was falling,
My life was a mess,
You just tapped me,
Lightly on the head.
You let me know,
That I was ahead of myself,
That my defensive words,
Would fall on deaf ears.
I was judgmental,
And my resentment took over.
I made a sacrifice,
And down in the dirt,
I punched rocks until,
My knuckles suffered.
I knew not the reason,
For my sudden behaviour,
I'd begun to wonder,
When would my wounds heal.
When my bitterness,
Would fade,
When my heart could let them in.
